“Best sandwich of our lives!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Fresh ingredients and great bread make for an amazing sandwich at this tiny hole-in-the-wall place in Florence. The staff was super friendly and cheerful and the wine/beer selection was great. What more can you ask for? PS: Don't mind the line, its worth it.

“great little sandwich place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

all the positive reviews are true. Only place in all of my italy trip I felt compelled to eat twice. Fresh bread and meats and cheeses makes this a great place to have a quick lunch. Can get a bit overwhelming ordering since every sandwich is custom made and most of the guys making sandwiches only speak italian. Just ask for the special. :)

“AMAZING”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

Would love to bring this place home. So good that you could go there twice a day. The bread is ridiculously good. The guys are super nice and funny. Ask them to make you a great sandwich and won't be disappointed.

“Surprise gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

My hubby, 2 kids & I stumbled across this place by accident tonight and ended up grabbing our dinner here. The very best sandwich with freshly sliced (very thin so you can taste it) mortadella, ham, prosciutto, pork, whatever you like, with eggplant, zucchini, mozzarella, pecorino cheese, and tomato. They also have tiny little snacks. We had 3 sandwiches, 3 glasses of self-serve wine and were UNDERcharged at €20. The guys behind the counter have personality in spades! Am sorry we found this to it and not 3 days ago as we leave Florence tomorrow morning. It's a genuine eatery, worth the wait, better priced than anywhere else we ate, better atmosphere than anywhere else we ate ( although it is tiny), and better service. Hopefully they're open earlyish tomorrow morning and we can grab something before we leave. The #1 rating is well-deserved :)

“Really?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

It was fine, but that was it. Long line. The guy said he'd fix me a sandwich I'd love--maybe I should have put more into the decisions. I got porchetta with eggplant, some sort of pepper spread, and a few more veggies. There was way too much bread for me--I ended up peeling off the top layers of each slice. It was an okay sandwich, but I'd have rather made one at home. Or gotten a 3 euro slice of pizza or something.
