“The ORIGINAL food tour in Florence!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

Don’t be fooled by the copy cats – Taste Florence is the original and BEST Florence food & wine tour! Toni has spent years building her relationships with the restaurant owners & market vendors and this effort shows. This was our third tour with Toni and it was just as unique and delicious as the first and second tours – we visited many new, quaint, wonderful places that we had not seen before.

We started out the day at a wonderful pasticceria for a pear & ricotta Sfoglia which was delicious and provided a good dose of energy! Then off to Mercato San’t Ambrogi for some meats & cheeses and olives and other yummy stuff. We then visited a tiny little sandwich shop for a variety of crostinis and a nice white wine, then to the Central Market, and on and on it went! The highlight for us is always the chocolate shop, Vestri. We loaded up on goodies to bring home with us.

During the entire tour Toni gave us details and tidbits about the city of Florence and the food and wine history of the Tuscan region and Italy in general. There is just so much to learn and Toni makes it interesting AND delicious. Along the way and at every stop it was clear that the vendors were delighted to see her and us. We were treated like family at every stop. We finished the tour completely satisfied.

We know we will be back for more as soon as we can!

Taste Florence is a MUST do during your visit!

“Great Food Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

We have done many food tours around the world......Taste Florence is the BEST ! Small group and our guide, Christina, was personable, knowledgable and a wonderful hostess. She takes time to answer any and all questions. We sampled meats, breads, pastries, wines, cheeses, oils, balsamic, gelato and chocolates. You shouldn't eat prior to the tour and won't need to eat after the tour ! We can't sing her praises enough. Wen we return to Florence, we will take the tour again.

“A Must Do - early in your trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Taste Florence is the best food tour in Florence. Toni is a very knowledgeable guide who has lived in Italy for 11 years. We learned and tasted meats, pastries, balsamic vinegars, wines, gelato, and more. We also learned our way around the area in and around the Food Market. She also provided us with a suggested list and map of places to go and eat in Florence. It was time and money well spent. We had a great time!!!

“Taste Florence Food Tour Review”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

I must admit that I have been on other food tours before, but never to one as great as Toni, the owner and guide for Taste Florence. She knows her stuff and delivers it in such a nice way that everyone is engaged to the fullest extent. Toni has been doing this Food Tour for over 4 years and knows all the right shop owners and is treated with respect. It is impressive to watch and know you are being taken care with urgency. I now know things about balsamic vinegar that I never knew, as well as olive oil and truffles. I think if I was to take this tour again, which I would in a heart beat, that Toni would make it different once again. I hope to send as many people to this great experience as I can. We booked for 4 hours @ $90 each and we got 5 1/2 hours with priceless information and culture. Worth every penny. Scott
