“Nice Hostel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

This is a good quality hostel, the breakfast was nice enough, but costly the staff where helpful, it was clean, good wifi etc. However it is a Bus about, topdeck hostel therefore you get a large group of people rock up party hard and bring the kitchen to a stand still. this means it's good value for money however there will be a large party downstairs every few nights. not my thing but if you wan a party it is cool. The location is amazing the rooms are very nice clean tidy better than most cheap hotels. SO why not give it a go. I it also Fully Aircon Which never happens in Italy.

Room Tip: ask for a room overlooking the street not the pool as the pool area is noisy at night.

I stayed in a triple room with 2 others. I asked for a quiet room on check in and was given a room in the second building. The building looked new and the decor was plain but in good condition. The room I was given was on a very busy main road and despite being on the fourth floor the traffic noise was very noticeable.
The breakfast was an well you cash eat buffet with cooked eggs, bacon etc. It cost 6.50. The food was OK but not great.

The hostel was in a good location, not too far from the main train station and was easy to find. The room was a decent size, we had a twin room and it was clean and we had our own bathroom. The bathroom was annoying though as there was no glass or anything surrounding the shower so it was hard not to wet the entire floor, toilet etc. Unfortunately for us on the first night we stayed 3 top deck tours stayed as well and the noise was insane all night as our room was right above the bar and the rooms aren't soundproof at all. I didn't sleep much at all and had to up at 6am. The second night was not nearly as bad noise wise. The on site restaurant served great food, definitely recommend it. The buffet breakfast was also good and cheap. All in all, a typical hostel, you can't expect too much. Also don't try and checkin between 3-3.30pm when the checkin first opens as it is crazy busy and you will have to wait in a bit of a line before you are served.

We stayed for 4 nights in Florence last week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The hostel is in a great location walking distance to all areas of Florence. It is a big hostel but we found stay helpful.
We had a double room and all so had our own bathroom which was unexpected. Only down side to room was we were located over the entrance to hostel which is facing the road it was fairly noisy at night especially when the bin men come round at 5am.
There was a pool and pool bar that severed good food and reasonable prices. The only think we thought was strange in the evening the bar outside closed at 11pm which was a shame as it was lovely to sit out there in the evening there was an indoor bar.
Over all we loved Florence and the hostel was perfect for what we needed.

Room Tip: we had room 106 which was a good size and had a bathroom, but was noisy from the road outside as was...

I really had fun here on my 2 night stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, WIFI was good, never had an issue.
Had a nice room to ourselves, there was only 1 other in the room. It was big and the toilet and shower were in separate rooms in the rooms. Shower on the left and toilet on the right. The bed was comfortable as you would expect from a hostel. Water ran hot quickly and the bathroom was nice and clean.
Downstairs where the food area was was great fun, on certain nights there are various activities or parties happening. Food was cheap and very good. Nice relaxing outdoors area also with a swimming pool and outdoor bar. I drank about 100 Birra Moretti's while I was there and had a awesome time.
Also everything was close, Statue of David was walking distance, market also.
If your looking for a good crowd and a lot of fun I can recommend this highly.

I stayed here as part of a top deck tour and i enjoyed it. the rooms were clean and the staff friendly and helpful. the wifi was a joke and rarely worked however and there was no soap provided in the bathrooms. It was a short walk to the main attractions and the train station was about 2 minutes away. The rooms on the lower floor were quite loud with the noise from the bar which was extremely busy the night i stayed, however the bar tenders were excellent and very friendly. i wouldnt mind staying again.

The check in took a really long time. There was only one girl at the reception and tons of people waiting in the lobby.
We wanted to pay in the moment of the check in because we had to leave early and in a hurry the next day but the receptionist said that she couldn't handle so many people and couldn't make the payment, so she kept our ID's until the moment of our checkout. Ridiculous.

The wifi connection is a joke, don't waste your time because you won't be able to use it in your room.

You have to make your own bed in the moment you arrive. If you want towels you have to rent them for 2€ each. You will also won't have any soap or shampoo, you have to bring your own. But I guess that's normal in all Plus Hostels.

Apart from that, for a hostel it's a really clean one. The location is great and (at least my room) was very quiet and spacious.

I wouldn't mind staying here again.
