We stayed in very good hotels and B&Bs in Rome, Florence, and Vernazza, but Le Gelosie was by far our favorite. The inn is perfectly located, quiet, very clean, with good amenities. The bed was the most comfortable of our 2-week trip, with crisp white sheets and a wonderful comforter. The location was also perfect. But what made this place a real stand-out was the service and assistance we received from the managers, Andrea and Kiki. We called them when we got to the train station (Camucia is the closest) and when they weren't able to find a cab for us right away, Andrea came and picked us up himself. Their restaurant suggestions were excellent - our favorite was the cafe (Trattoria Toscana?) about two doors away from the inn. They also made it very easy for us to rent a car so we could drive to all the other hilltowns, including Siena. I even got to check my email on their computer before we left. Although they were completely unobtrusive, they were always there exactly when we needed them. My only regret is that we only stayed there for three nights. I would definitely recommend a longer stay. It is the perfect spot from which to explore all of Tuscany, including Florence, but especially the hilltowns and wine country.
