It was my first visit to this restaurant. I was very impressed with the almost quirky desire to create a homely atmosphere (albeit very up-market) that on the whole worked well. The staff were very friendly and accommodating but not overly professional - the waitress serving the wine had to be shown how to uncork the bottle! To be fair she didn't seem to be a waitress but possibly someone seconded in as cover at short notice. The food was a twist on established Italian cuisine but not wholly successful. It had the feeling of a young ambitious workforce that, when everything is in place, will be very successful. I look forward to future visits to take advantage of the improvements that will no doubt have taken place.
