My wife, our daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren ages 10 and 8 stayed at Margherita for 4 nights. We only wish it could have been longer. Excellent accomodations, breakfasts with fresh produce, and a totally relaxed atmosphere. Accomodations were large by European standards and outfitted sufficiently to enable cooking meals. A barbecue is also available on site. So nice to awake to the sounds of the country and not planes, trains and automobiles. Bernardo and Beatrice are wonderful hosts and really made this a memorable vacation for all of us especially the two grandchildren. The farm is located on a beautiful hillside with Cortona sitting on an opposite hill. We will certainly visit the holiday home again.

We felt that we were home away from home. Hospitality from Beatrice and Bernando was excellent, we had good advice on restaurants and sightseeing places. Beatrice took her time and drove us to a villa from movie 'Under Tuscan sun', The cottage we were renting with on other couple was great: rooms, bathrooms were super clean. View to Cortona was beautiful. Breakfast was also amazing, everything home cooked and plentiful. Would highly recommend !

We have always dreamed of spending a week in a Villa in Tuscany and our dreams have more than come true. The location, the ambience, the local produce, the accommodation all combined to make it a memorable week.

Exhausted and worn after too long without a holiday my partner and I stayed for a week with Beatrice and Bernardo and had the most wonderful relaxing stay. The location was stunning for views, the pool, barbeque area and the gardens were charming , the ambience was relaxed and informal and the company beyond compare. We also hugely enjoyed spending time with their extended family (the most adorable donkeys and horses) .
The position was great as a touring central point for Montepulciano, Montalcino, Cortona, Florence etc and we would highly recommend it.
Our hosts were charming enough to include us in a friends and family dinner - what a treat!
The sun shone gloriously, but the hospitality outshone even that - lovely people, lovely place, a true slice of tuscan heaven - could not recommend this highly enough.
A huge thank you to Beatrice and Bernardo - we are planning our next trip and we only arrived home today!

My husband and I had an amazing four night stay at Margherita Holiday Home! We stayed at many great B&B's throughout France and Italy but here the hosts (Beatrice and Bernardo) were the friendliest we encountered. They really want you to get a feel for how an Italian family lives. We were welcomed with a free bottle of their wonderful olive oil (made from the olives on their property, which they pick by hand) and we bought a couple more - they make perfect gifts!
We did a cooking class and it was one of the highlights of our entire trip. We made tagliatelle and ravioli by hand under Beatrice's expert guidance. We also learned to make panzanella and a wonderful jam-topped tart (Beatrice's specialty - you will probably get to try this at breakfast). She even translated the recipe for me and emailed it to me. We also got a peak into Bernardo's cold room with a variety of cured meats - my husband was in heaven. The class culminated in a family style meal with our hosts and their daughter (who was taking pictures during the class for their Facebook page) - we really felt part of the family and it was delicious!
The breakfast here was also notable - the best we had during our trip. A great variety of cakes and jams (all homemade!) plus meats and cheeses, and Beatrice will make you eggs to order. We stayed in Casa Nido which is attached to the main house, and we had breakfast in the kitchen of the main house. Our room also had a small table and chairs outside our front door - our own private place to sit outside. The internet does not reach into the room unless you are sitting right by the front door but it works well sitting outside and in the kitchen where we had breakfast. The room itself is nice but note the shower is quite small and there is no air conditioning. We were lucky it was not too hot when we were there so the fan was adequate. The pool on the property is also nice and there is an amazing view of the countryside and Cortona.
You need a car here and it is within driving distance of many Tuscan sights. We went to Cortona a couple of times (Beatrice gave a great dinner recommendation) and also visited Montepulciano. We also spent an afternoon walking around the area where the B&B is located. I definitely recommend budgeting some time to just relax on the beautifully landscaped grounds and explore nearby.
Heads up - it was not very easy to find initially. Our GPS did not have the correct location and they didn't send us directions beforehand. We ended up calling and Bernardo went above and beyond coming out on his motorcycle to find us so we could follow him. My advice - ask them for detailed directions beforehand and don't rely on your GPS.
