“Dream Vacation to Italy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

After researching the internet and reading the awesome reviews for the best culinary experience in Italy my cousin and I booked our first trip abroad through Ciao Laura. We could not be happier to have had the opportunity to do so. When I first contacted Ciao Laura I informed her that some of her cooking excursions interested us but that we wanted to add several more and stay in Sorrento along with Positano. She quickly responded and wanted more details as to what we wanted to cook, places we wanted to visit and where we wanted to stay and for how long. I sent her back our requests and shortly thereafter she presented us with an itinerary that gave us everything we wanted. We just returned from our trip on October 22, 2013 and I must say, her service and the people that she is in contact with are top notch. We enjoyed our cooking lessons with Lucia, Ida and Mamma Agata. She had also included private transportation in our vacation. All of our drivers were impressive but I really have to give a lot of cudos to Massimo. He was our driver for the last two days of our vacation and he set us up with some amazing surprises. A private row boat in the Emerald Grotto, a reserved table at a restaurant that was the best food we had eaten, (besides what we cooked) He also took special care of us in regard to driving us to Mail Boxes etc, we had a lot of things we needed to ship back to California. He was able to rearrange our schedule so that we were able to mail our things. Our 10 days in Italy could not have been any better. Ciao Laura stays in contact with everyone we have plans with including the transportation group. I highly recommend Ciao Laura. My cousin and I will be returning to Italy and we will most definitely be using Ciao Laura!!! Thank you so much for making our first trip to Italy seamless.

My husband and I experienced the Farm to Fork cooking class with Veronica in Imprunete...it was super fun and special. I immediately came home and made fresh pasta! Working with Ciao Laura was easy and complete. Everything was perfect! Can't wait to do it again.
Thanks again, Melissa, Texas

“Dream cooking experience in Tuscany”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

Our 'Farm to Fork' cooking lesson in Tuscany was the real highlight of a recent family holiday to Italy that included so many highlights. Our cooking instructor, Veronica, was outstanding and presented a fantastic half-day class for my foodie wife, myself and our daughters (aged 15 and 12).

We met Veronica in the village of Impruneta and followed her to the cooking studio about 10 minutes away. Her cooking school / studio, La Quercia, is situated alongside her 17th century villa on a farm in the heart of the Chianti region in Tuscany, and less than 30 minutes drive from Florence. The cooking studio overlooks the farm's vineyards and olive groves, and the rolling hills of Chianti.

Veronica was incredibly warm and friendly. She is passionate about her native Tuscany and its food, passing on her vast knowledge of local cooking and many of her grandmother's recipes. The recipes are provided in Italian so one gets to learn the ingredients and cooking terms in Italian, and Veronica translates the recipes as you prepare each dish.

Our menu included focaccia, gnocchi with a tomato sauce, lemon flavoured meatballs served with Tuscan peas, and chocolate cake with a berry coulis. We than sat down to enjoy our multi-course meal which we enjoyed in Veronica's charming company while drinking white (Bianco Trebbiano) and red (Chianti Classico) wine produced on the farm.

After our sumptuous meal we strolled around the grounds of the villa and through the vineyards, and then sadly it was time to bid farewell to our new friend Veronica, drawing to a close an amazing cooking experience. My wife and daughters have wasted no time in making the Tuscan dishes several times with great success since arriving home.

The online booking process through Ciao Laura at ciaolaura.com was very efficient and Laura was highly responsive, providing very clear directions and instructions to meet up with Veronica in Impruneta. Children pay 50% of the adult fee for the class, and you have the option of paying a premium and booking your own exclusive class.

We could not be more enthusiastic in recommending Ciao Laura, Veronica's cooking lessons, and of course, a holiday in Tuscany.

“Our favorite family experience in Italy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

Veronica was a perfect hostess and teacher. We felt like we were given the secret to Italian cooking, eating and living. That was one of our goals; to spend time with true Italians, in their home and eat authentic Italian food. This was much more than we hoped for. We felt like we had made a lifetime friend with Veronica. When we returned home, my daughter and I could hardly wait to prepare the dishes that Veronica had taught us to make and due to her wonderful instructions we were able to replicate the dishes, close our eyes and pretend that we were once again in her kitchen. Thank you Veronica for this incredible experience that we will never forget.
