We have just returned from Hotel Sylesia, after staying there for three nights.
It is next to a popular Beach and some lovely Beach side Restaurants for the evening, but we went there as a base to explore Taormina and Syracuse.
It was perfect for us, in that it was very clean, always well presented, affordable and with a very decent Breakfast.
The Owner and his Son could not have been more friendly or helpful. Whether it was parking the car or advice on Sicily etc, they were great.

My husband and I have recently returned from Sicily, having stayed at the Hotel Sylesia. Our room (406) was clean and spacious with air conditioning, a comfy bed, a small balcony, a spacious shower room/toilet and adequate power points. A buffet style continental breakfast served in the lobby area was most welcome, particularly the lovely warm croissants with jam! Giuseppi and his family were all courteous and helpful - particularly when it came to parking our little Fiat 500 in the road beside the hotel!! This hotel is an ideal base for touring the south eastern end of Sicily - bus and train services are nearby if you don't have a car. Taormina is a short drive away, as is Castlemone and Isola Bella. The train line does run fairly close behind the hotel, but the sound from it wasn't an issue for us. The family were always on hand to give us advice on places to visit, and the roof terrace proved a welcome retreat after a hard day sightseeing and munching pizzas! Thank you Giuseppe and family for a lovely stay - we may return again one day!

Room Tip: Our room overlooked a side street of the hotel - however there were some rooms that had a front faci...

I liked this place so much and recommended it to my friend going to Letojanni soon.
This is small cozy hotel held by the family. The rooms are clean, just as the rest premises of the hotel. Breakfast is a various choice, the best croissants I have ever tasted were here (brought from the baker living and working nearby).
The location is ideal - 2 steps away from the beach with transparent water and restaurants at the seashore.
The price is very acceptable for all the advantages (could be more expensive).

The facilities are basic but perfectly clean and adequate, with very nice breakfast and tea/coffee/drinks available from the bar anytime. Most friendly and helpful owners, and the son has a useful grasp of English. Transport links are not only the bus but the railway station is walking distance and there is a tourist information office on the way there.
Street parking was fine at Easter but would be difficult in high season.
I would definitely recommend this hotel as far better value than one in the centre of Taormina.

Just got back from Sicily! We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights! The bus stops right infront of the hotel (interbus) which brings you to taormina. The beach is less than a 100m walk. Everything is close by - restaurants, shops. The owner of this hotel was very helpful, kind and generous!! and they have all the information on times of bus services etc. Breakfast was lovely! Nice variety. I see some reviewers complain about the train (railway 200m behind hotel) - but to be honest it passes in 2 seconds and its a lovely sound to the ears! And our room was cleaned everyday. Can't find any fault with Hotel Sylesia and would definately return again with our lil Bambino :) xx As we stayed in Letojanni I looked at all the other hotels that was advertised and let me tell you that Hotel Sylesia is the best pick I promise you! If anyone would like more information about this hotel or surroundings do not hesitate to contact me at chantel_vosloo@yahoo.ie.

Carmello we love you and miss you very much! We felt like part of the family and your kindness will never be forgotten! To Joseph thank you for everything and we definatly don't regret anything and would stay there all over again!!!! You are the best!

Our first night was traumatic when I left my rucksack on the bus from Taormina. The owner's son leapt into his car to try and catch the bus without success, but the next day we met him at the bus station at Taormina where he discovered that bus driver was dropping my bag off at the hotel, so he drove us back to the hotel for the reunion. Overall, the hotel is a friendly family run establishment with clean basic rooms and a good continental breakfast. It is well located near the beach and restaurants in Letojanni, with good connections by bus and train (although the trains can be a bit noisy!). Thank you, Galmero!

I spent here one night with my family. Unfortunately I had a puncture in front of the hotel. Even the owner came to give me a hand to change the wheel. There is free parking on street just in front of the hotel.
Letojanni is very quiet. Nearby the hotel there are plenty of restaurants street.
Price / quality ratio is very good.
