Taormina is beautiful and idyllic and i can see why JIM KERR fell in love with this unique location .
The super location of Hotel Angela make the the views of Mount Etna breath taking.
I love the design of the hotel and the style of the furniture, the decor and artwork.
The rooms are very comfortable, clean and elegant and in Sicilian style .

I can imagine the staff of Angela work with passion to keep everything in tip top condition
and they are very friendly ,helpfull ,kind and they speak english fluently.
Katherine thanks for all the emails, flight suggestions, land transport, places to visit and the

I organised a 5 day trip to VA for my sisters 20th wedding anniversary. I can't express my gratitude for the way in which Katherine and her colleagues helped me organise this. From airport pick up to prosecco in the room and making my sister feel welcome. They loved the hotel so much, their huge balcony with the etna view was spectacular and the lovely times chatting to Jim k's dad. They have been raving about their trip - of course Taormina is beautiful but so too is the attitude and service at this hotel. A wise choice..

I'm not going to write a long drawn out review, this beautiful hotel doesn't need it.
All I would say is the location, staff and service are second to none. The food was incredible and the attention to detail from the staff was flawless.
Stop looking at reviews and just book it, you won't be disappointed.
Thanks to Sam who is possibly my favourite hotel staff member of all time, and supplied us with great food, wine and company.
Thanks from Rob and Liz!

Room Tip: No need for tips, all rooms have the same incredible view. Walk down the steps to town, its tiring...

We had a great time in taormina. The rooms are comfortable and elegant, with big private terraces and a superlative view on etna and the bay. The staff is very kind and speak english fluently. The only suggestion is to improve the continental breakfast with local products and to improve the way the breakfast is presented.

Arrived on speck with an ill Chevrolet Day Van, Maundy Thursday, 2013.
Catherine made us most welcome, great room with (as other reviews will vouch safe) superb views of Etna.
Charlie put our minds at rest,as he was able to recommend a good mechanic shop, who, after the Easter break were able to repair the 1995 American vehicle.
All the staff at Villa Angela are wonderful people, with, naturally, sound local knowledge. Language was no problem.
You will most likely meet the effervescent chamber maid. Her name is Santina, and she's something of a character!

Thank you all at Villa Angela, we will not forget our visit with you!

We arrived the day after the hotel opened for the season but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It is quite hard to find if you are using a sat nav - if we had known the staff spoke such good English and were so helpful we would have rung for directions. The rooms all have the most beautiful views of Etna, the town and the sea. You can hear everything the people next door say on their balcony but other than ugly solid barriers I am not sure what they could do about this - at the moment it's pretty greenery. Our shower was a bit mad but they fixed it as soon as we mentioned it. The breakfast was substantial with some quite unusual options. They brought us endless coffees even though we came down towards the end of the breakfast period - no sense of pressure. The hotel is high out of the town - we walked down the masses of stairs to get the benefit of the view and then took the hotel minibus back up (small charge) Very good recommendations for evening meals - they only do dinner on Monda.y) Lovely pool.

On a 3 week vacation to Sicily and the Almalfi Coast this past September we made this hotel the second of 3 places we intended to stay. What attracted us most was the fact that this hotel sits high on the cliff overlooking Taormina with views of the town, waterfront and Mount Etna. Hotel Villa Angela is not a large hotel but one that was very quaint. The staff were simply wonderful and the accommodations lived up to our expectations. It was very clean throughout the facility with great attention to making sure the place was in terrific shape. The hotel itself was moderately priced so I did think that there was certainly good value in it's rates. The dinning experience was always good and I thought that the waiters went out of their way to understand your food likes and to accommodate them. Eating on the terrace several times overlooking the view was fabulous. A word of advice, do to the fact that you need to take a shuttle down to the end of town, if you do nit like or can;t walk this is not the place for you. I enjoyed waking down from the terrace to the town and taking the shuttle back a few times. When we go back to Taormina the Hotel Villa Angela will be on our list for accommodations...

Room Tip: Get an upgraded room with a terrace overlooking the bay as you can't go wrong...
