“Shopping is a must!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

Had a great time going through the shops along this avenue. The fact that is so picturesque is a plus. If you're in Taormina you can't escape it - go ahead and enjoy!

“Great, a must do !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

Postcard perfect Corso, with lots of shops to stop and browse or grab a gelato or café. Perfect for any time of year, we were there during a beautiful May weekend and it was just perfect.

“The Main Drag”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

This is the main drag through Taormina. It is lined with shops, bars, restaurants and the occasional bank.

Lots of little streets off Corso Umberto, each inviting you to explore what they offer. You would never starve in Taormina as there are wall-to-wall restaurants at every turn!

It is very busy most days, especially at night, when alot of local families come out into Taormina to enjoy the nightlife.

“great stores”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

I loved the variety of stores on Corso Umberto, the main shopping street in Taormina....you can buy everything from fine quality Italian shoes (of course!) to souvenirs and calendars. There's something for everyone on Corso Umberto.

“Everything Happens Here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013 via mobile

This is the street to see and be seen. Whether walking along enjoying a gelato, sitting in one of the cafes or bars, browsing in the delightfully stylish shops, listening to the music of street musicians or watching a bride arrive for her wedding, everything revolves around the Corso Umberto. We also joined other couples dancing in the square beside the Wunderbar, just stumbled upon people dancing to the band playing in the bar and it was delightful. Atmospheric and exciting, I wish my high street at home was like this!
