“Another great experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

We returned to the Villa Ducale after a great experience a few years ago. It was just as wonderful as we remembered. It is beautiful, the food and service is great, and we hope we can return again. The staff was fabulous, so pleasant and attentive. A special thanks to Santi, Alessi, Santne and Elie.

A huge thank you to the staff of Villa Ducale during our recent trip, what an amazing place. The hospitatily was second to none and Rossaria even bought us tickets to the theatre which was the most beautiful setting, nothing was too much trouble. We had a suite in the annex next to jacuzzi and bathing area, the attention to detail was superb. Late afternoons were spent sipping Prosecco on the terrace overlooking Etna with complimentary snacks/desserts. Breakfast buffet is wonderful, never before have I wanted to linger for so long. We'll definitely be back.

Room Tip: We had a suite in the annex which had superb views and a privte terrace.

We booked our stay at Villa Ducale because of the great reviews on tripadvisor , and everything they say is true ,it is a really amazing hotel. ( or our home for 8 days as we were asked to make it) Yes the breakfast is as super as everybody says as is the afternoon tea. The staff are just wonderful everyone of them ,what a very clever owner to employ such fantastic people ,they make such a difference .We can't wait to return to out Sicilian home !

This hotel is all about the service, attention to detail and the views. The rooms and bathrooms are not fantastic and there's no pool. However the staff are phenomenal; nothing is too much effort, they are extremely friendly and enjoyable to speak to. Loved the snacks from 4pm onwards which was an excellent touch. We would have happily sat on the terrace all day admiring the views. Other hotels could learn a great deal from Rosario and her team

We're just leaving Villa Ducale for the second time and we're already booking for next year! I can't think of a better place to stay! It's a very welcoming place, it feels like you're part of the family. It doesn't feel like a hotel, it's relaxed and you could just spend the whole day there if you chose to. Everything from the breakfast to "tea time" to the apreritivo at 6pm makes you want to just sit by the terrace and enjoy the breathtaking view. I couldn't recommend Villa Ducale enough, we fell in love with it...

We recently stayed at Villa Ducale for another stay and we are always surprised by the many changes they have made to improve the service, the ambiance and the food. The staff and the owner Rosaria take care of every detail. They make your trip a very special memory. The views are the best in all of Italy. The breakfasts are out of this world and the evening cocktails and dinner from the veranda are very romantic. We will return again to this secret hideaway in Taormina!

All the superlatives have been covered numerous times here. And they are all true.

Best hotel on our honeymoon, perhaps best hotel we have ever stayed in! The night we arrived they had upgraded us to a bigger suite + had bottle of Proseco/flowers in our room to welcome us. Touch of class.

Only possible draw backs are no pool and location (outside town, on mountain)...so if pool and downtown location are important this is not for you. If you want an awesome hotel, with even awesomer (!) staff, service, food, rooms, etc...this place is for you.

We will go back to Taormina, and we will stay here again. 5 stars.

Dear team 1608,
we would like to highly thank you for the glorious comment and the raves about your recent stay at Villa Ducale. Villa Ducale has only 17 rooms, it is an aristocratic villa perched on a small hill enjoying probably one of Italy's best views. It has no pool (outdoor Jacuzzi with loungers) and it is a bit out of the centre (km.1,2 - hourly shuttle to town and back - 5 minutes time) and it is a very special place for very special people.
All my best,
Signora Rosaria Quartucci, the owner
