We stayed 10 nights in the Timeo last June - we had booked a suite with a balcony thinking we would be able to sit out on it, we arrived late to be shown a beautiful room overlooking the pool but the balcony was juliette and you could only stand on it so we were disappointed. We asked to move rooms and the receptionist was very helpful and although they had nothing available that night, showed us a suite the next day with a terrace with a table and chairs and sun loungers. This one overlooked the restaurant and we were a little worried about the noise but it was fine and we were very glad we moved, as we could could have breakfast or lunch up there if we wanted and it was nice when the pool got busy to head back to our own terrace for a while. The hotel itself is beautiful and the location is just stunning. We found everybody to be helpful and efficient. We ate out most nights but did have lunch at the pool restaurant which was very nice, but pricey. We would sit on the main terrace and listen to the pianist and have an aperitif taking in the views which was very relaxing - although he did tend to play the same tunes every night! We took the courtesy bus down to the sister hotel Sant'Andrea a few times and sat on the beach and had lunch which was also beautiful and a bit more informal than the Timeo -the views from the Timeo win though! We went on the complimentary boat trip but there wasn't a great deal of wind that day, it made a change though and was free. There were times when we felt the service in the bars and restaurants was not up to 5 star standard but all in all we had a wonderful stay in the Grand Hotel Timeo!
