This is a truly magical hotel, right on the coast with the most breath taking views. The staff are incredibly friendly and the breakfasts are superb, not only is the food faultless but the views from the terrace incredible. The interior of the hotel is classic and timeless and everywhere is spotlessly clean, I even saw them polishing the glass ceiling lights along the hallways on a daily basis. It is pretty expensive but if you get the chance to experience grand hotel timeo go for it!!

We stayed at the Timeo for 5 nights in October as part of our honeymoon. This is a beautiful and grand hotel set in immaculate grounds with a heated outdoor pool and very attentive service. We had upgraded to a 'side sea view' room which was a duplex room in the hotel's annex Villa Flora. Whilst this was beautiful I was a little disappointed not to be in the main hotel as the annex was separated from the hotel by the entrance to the Greek theatre - the main tourist attraction in Taormina. As other reviewers have noted drinks and snacks in the hotel are overpriced - a cappucino and cocktail were 23 euro....much cheaper to head into Taormina which is a beautiful town. The Hotel Grand Timeo was our little piece of Sicilian luxury

Impeccable service and room condition. We were there this summer and had the room with a terrace which is actually kind of the rooftop so could see the whole taormina town and bay. Stunning view. Great amenities and excellent location. Food quality probably the best in Taormina. We had dinner twice at the hotel restaurant for its pasta and fish were unrivaled. Also could go to the sister hotel and enjoy the beach. So wonderful and again service absolutely perfect.

After extensive research into where to go, we settled on Sicily. First of all, we wanted to stay in a modern resort, however, with us not being golfers, we realized we might be abit isolated! We heard from friends that the Grand Hotel Timeo was wonderful and so we took a chance and booked it with no further thought. What a wonderful instinct that was too ...
We arrived in a taxi winding up the alleys and narrow streets of Taormina to a gate under a gazebo bang next door the to the Ancient Theatre - prime location. The hotel was quite old fashioned, yet not in a negative way. It was intricately decorated in true Italian style. The rooms we were given as we had booked late were situated in the Villa Flora next door, which was not a problem. A tiny downside was one of the rooms which was for 1 person was a bit dark and had a single bed, so the reception were very friendly and found us another room which was great. Our other room was situated on two floors with a lounge downstairs and the bed upstairs with 2 bathrooms. Fantastic! Breakfast was set out beautifully overlooking the serene Mediterranean waters. The pool was small, but still lovely. With so many steps though, would not recommend this hotel for a person with difficulty in walking! They have a sister hotel down by the water, and provide a free shuttle service every hour to the private beach within that hotel which is another bonus. Overall, we had a great week and recommend it highly!
