I stayed one week with my wife and two kids (4 yrs and 6 yrs). The overall impression of the hotel is good (4 star). The hotel would need a good gym to be able to seize that fifth star. The pool area and the pool was excellent for both adults and kids. Pool depth aprox. 1,2m.
The breakfast buffé was very good (yoghurt, cereals, fruit, all sorts of eggs, pastries, juices, bread etc. etc.) nothing like what southern European hotels usually provides .
The best impression was the high service level from the friendly staff. Everyone from the cleaning lady to the porter made a very professional impression comparable to 5-star hotels in Asia and US.
If you stay here you need to be prepared on that the hotel is not situated directly on the beach which we thought instead there is an small road just outside the hotel and a descent number of stairs down to the beach. On the other hand the views are amazing from the balcony and the terrace (with the pool). The beach is not made of sand rather small stones which to me is great but if you expect sand you need to walk another five minutes to an adjacent beach.
Don't miss the old city of Taormina with great restaurants and good atmosphere.
