Me and my friends just went inside just to look around.... and we got stuck there for half an hour eating the best sandwiches in our lives, drinking wine and chatting with the owners (amazing people). Mozzarella affumicata con fumo di mandorle and Pate di carciofi e mandrel will make u crazy. You will love that family! :)

You could not say, that you've visit Syracuse if you didn't try sandwich with smoked mozzarella prepared by Gaetano. The best service, smiling and friendly Gaetano and his wife, delicious food and long lasting after-taste after you've tried truly Sicilian welcoming hospitality. Every morning try a bit of 100% sunny mood :)

The best sandwich and the friendliest people we met in Italy! A great family run deli with a super friendly atmosphere.

We stopped in to grab a panini and were welcomed in to the store, given some cheese to try by the lovely people behind the counter, we also tasted a couple of sandwich pieces, ordered our own and even tasted some wine before our takeaway paninis were wrapped and handed to us.
After chatting some more with some other friendly locals in the store we left and had a lovely meal on the beach in Ortigia.
The food was fresh and delicious and the atmosphere was boisterous and very Italian. Go there!
