This B and B i ideally placed in Ortigia, the island which forms the heart of old Syracuse. Breakfast is by voucher at a cafe right opposite the Duomo, one of the sights everyone needs to see. The rooms are really nice -- traditionally furnished but with up-to-date facilities, plus A/c and wi-fi. There are good restaurants nearby, and all the major sites of Ortigia are within easy walking distance. The owner, Enzo, is charming, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He occasionally leaves things to his cousin, who is just as helpful. In short, I would not think of staying anywhere else in Syracuse - unless too many people read this, and I can't get in next time ...

Fantastic location and Enzo was a fabulous host and made the stay, particularly with his restaurant reservations.

If I'm being very picky, the bathroom could have perhaps been a little cleaner (i.e. it was clean, but not pristine), but we'd happily stay there again.

This was a great place to stay. Enzo is WONDERFUL!! The cafe where we ate for breakfast is beautiful and delicious! We got coupons for breakfast, and it's an easy walk to eat breakfast. This is THE place to stay in Syracuse!!!

We arrived by bus and walked for about 20 minutes to Ortegia to find this charming place hidden in a side strret. We we welcomed and thoroughly induced by Enzo who gave us the commonly known tourist tips as well as his favourite of the beaten track ones.

Breakfast was in cafe Duomo , most beautiful locAtion : custard filled brioche and coffee. Make sure to ask for orange juice too!

Beds were very narrow, but ok.

We loved Siracusa and would recommend Enzo's b&b

Great B&B, well located, clean and confortable rooms, not to mention the great breakfast near the Cathedral. Thanks Enzo for your on-going support, advice and for being such a wonderful host. We really enjoyed our stay and encourage our friends to visit Siracusa, a stunning place rich of history, art and culture.

This B&B is well located and just off a major road. Our room was extremely good and with our friends we were the only people to use the roof terrace for evening drinks. Enzo is an excellent host, but allow a little time for his very comprehensive briefing. Given the need to walk 7-8 minutes for breakfast (at one of two cafes by the Duomo, depending on which day it is), it is surprising that there are no facilities for making tea and coffee within the B&B. Both of us would have been fortified by tea/coffee before heading off the breakfast. That is the only improvement that we can suggest.

We stayed here on our recent vacation and we were glad we did. It can be a little hard to find but I think that is the same with most places on the island as there are many quaint small streets and alleys. The B&B is just off the water which makes it easier to find once you get the lay of the land. It is also easier if you want to go swimming as swimming is close by. It is away from the touristy area which is good. Enzo is a very helpful host, willing to help with all that is needed. The breakfast is served close by in the piazza duomo. On Mondays it is served at another cafe but that is good to. Neither is a far walk and it helps you get up and out. The owner of the duomo cafe gave each us a few large pastries and several coffees without a problem, very nice. The other cafe gave us a hearty breakfast sandwich and coffees as well. The B&B is clean and recently renovated my only issue was the internet, it would go down occasionally. Not really a problem for us though. The internet fading in and out seemed to be a problem we had on our entire two week stay throughout Sicily. Parking was not an issue for us, we parked without a problem. We would stay here again for sure.
