On a recent (second) visit to Palermo w friends, our guide strongly recommended a visit to this rebuilt palazzo. A beautiful place w well informed guides explaining interesting exhibits of ancient pottery, library, stamps and coins. Originally built for a wealthy family, the neighborhood declined and the family moved but opened a huge pawn shop for the poor. Part of this palazzo has been recreated as such. There was a fascinating exhibit there on 2 mafia judges/prosecutors. As we were leaving, I noticed a restaurant, w both a large, beautiful indoor room and lovely outdoor courtyard w fountain. On the spur of the moment, I made a reservation for that evening. Even though it was hot, we decided to eat outdoors. The food was modern in style and wonderful, beautifully presented and served. A rich of class!
