We have been to chocolate stores in Perugia, Switzerland, Belgium, France, and all over the world. Still, Cioccolateria Lorenzo was a revelation. We stumbled onto it in December of 2011, just on the very day they first opened. We were visiting the Museo De Pupi, which is very close. There is something very fresh and very special about their chocolate here. And we could buy a bar of solid chocolate for about half the price that we were paying for factory made brand name chocolates in grocery stores. In other words, Lorenzo was under-priced. We ended up buying a lot of chocolate, mostly to take home. But then we ate it within a day or two. This place is amazing. The selection is not that great. But the chocolate is. And, what a value!
