This visit was an absolute delight. We were able to have an English language tour with a delightful and knowledgable young man. His enthusiasm and knowledge were infectious though we needed no urging. The tiles are beautiful, covering the walls of the charming private home they are housed in. Not only are the displays lovely they are an important part of Siclian history, and it is wonderful to see them being preserved and documented. This is a world class collection and a priviledge to see.

We had the pleasure of a private tour of Stanze al Genio this evening. It is a truly remarkable collection exhibited in a beautiful private home. The tour was interesting and informative and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Palermo. We feel very fortunate to have read about it on Trip Advisor.

What a remarkable place and such a well-informed host/guide! Largest collection of tiles fromthe 1400's-1930's. Amazing. Since we speak Italian we did get the benefit an Italian-language personal guide -- so much knowledge -- (but I think they're well-equipped to provide tours in several languages.)

Gorgeous layout and very manageable size though the sheer number of tiles displayed is intense. Easy to find in old Central Palermo, worth the (small) effort to plan and book ahead.
