This is NOT a restaurant for those who want to be wowed. The table settings are ordinary, the lights are too bright. But if you love small, authentic European restaurants, the true bistros and trattoria, then you will love this place. It is run by a family and they all seem to be on the floor if not in the kitchen as well. They care deeply about each ingredient and make recommendations because they really want you to try something good. When I asked for salt for my sea urchin pasta they suggested that it was better not to add any because it would detract from the subtle sweet flavor of the crustacean. They were right. And they do this without any attitude, just care, they want you to have a great meal, even if you are a tourist.
