“Loved Palermo!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2011

Vicio is very friendly! We enjoyed the B & B it was in a great location! Siciliy has a lot to offer so we rented a car. Be prepared to carry luggage up steps. It was a bit difficult and the lights in the hallway must be turned on by you to preserve energy. Would have liked a more thorough orientation on the logistics of the property. Overall, it was great the rooms were beautiful, the scenery is unbelievable! The food in Siciliy is the best in all of Italy!

A beautiful bnb
The rooms were very clean and modern
The staff is very discreet and kind and gave us very valuable advice
I think I can recommend this property to all those who are in Palermo for work or for holidays
The location is very central
And there are many restaurants, pubs, shops.
We have been very well
Thanks Vicio.
Excellent.

Charming spot, very helpful staff, perfectly located in the center of historic Palermo. The room we stayed had an amazing terrace plus a roof deck, both with stunning views, especially at night. It's a little quirky - the bathroom is tiny, the shower is small and practically on top of the toilet, and the room we stayed was a winding, misshapen hike up several flights of asymmetric stairs. But all part of the charm! We would without a doubt book this room again next trip to Palermo.

We stayed three nights at the lovely Gran Maestro on our honeymoon in September. We booked the top floor which has an en suite bathroom, small bar/food counter area and private terrace (actually two terraces but one with a proper table and chairs) with spectacular views over the city's rooftops. Rather breathtaking. When we arrived, Vicio, our host, was extremely gracious in making sure we were happy with all elements of our room-we were, though the climb up is a bit tricky, charmingly so, up winding stairs-and spent a great deal of time acquainting us, via a map he liberally marked up with his recommendations, with the city's layout. He also left us with his cell phone number and email to reach him at anytime in case we needed something when he was not on the property. Very caring and warm as was his assistant, Islam. A very comfortable stay and the location is superb, right behind San Domenico church and steps from the Vucciria market. Would definitely stay in this particular room again.

Room Tip: We only can speak for the room in which we stayed as we did not see the others.

On our stay at Gran Maestro, we arrived at Palermo airport and had to drive into Palermo without a map or instructions. I contact the hotel and someone came and met us at the motorway exit so we could follow them to the hotel. (A wonderful man on his moped - just a joy to meet) It was a thrilling introduction to Palermo - a crazy driving experience - as he gave us a guided tour and stopped at the lights to point out buildings/places of interest. This was really service above and beyond our expectations. The room was lovely, a small terrace to watch the world go by and a good local breafast on a square nearby. I will defintely stay here when I return to Sicily.

very nice place to stay in the historic centre of Palermo. Close to the port and to the main streets, a lovely place, clean, modern, fully furnished. Thanks to the girl who waited for us arriving in the night and gave us informations about the place to visit.
