“Best pizza of Palermo, authentic and original”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012 via mobile

Before writing any review I was curious to see whether my very own appreciation was coherent with what we had experienced ourselves. I was quite surprised to see some of the other comments sa: pricy, not acceptable etc etc... Look, we (young couple)have been all over sicily and had found pizzas to be worse then the ones from where we come from = belgium. Moreover I'm a pizzaiolo myself! The pizza was nearly the best one since long. We had stumbled upon the entrance near the Via Enr. Albanese and were charmed by the atmosphere anno 40, prices were OK, staff was very nice and we had the chance to speak about the family history and recipies with the owners, Mrs and Mr Diego. The antipasti were great, the pizza was authentic with ancient fermentation process and the use of strutta fat instead of oil! The penne a la norma were cooked properly with original ricotta salata and abundant melenzana fritta! I recommend to any newcomer and will certainly come back! Just enter the place and let yourself judge the tasting! You will not leave dissapointed!

“Friendly place for dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2012 via mobile

We stumbled upon this restaurant and thought why not. The antipasti for 2 was beautiful, very fresh. Pizza was about right for authentic Sicilian. Overall, cheap, very pleased and great service

“Where the locals eat or take out - great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2012

The hotel staff recommended this place to us as a place not many visitors go that is really good. They were right - the food was fantastic and the service (family run) was great.

“Fairly average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2011

This restaurant has a nice atmosphere and reasonable prices (for Palermo). However, pizzas were literally swimming in cheese - unfortunately they were the worst pizzas that we had in Italy. Overall, a fairly average dining experiemce.

“Good pizzeria”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2010

OK for a cheap pizza – a very wide range of toppings – and drinkable house wine. The main menu has too many options to be credible, and seems to depend heavily on using frozen food.
