“A Good Deal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

The rooms are lovely (large bathroom, plush bedding, robes and slippers provided) and the staff helpful, though it would have been nice to know there was a garage available for hotel guests when we asked if our car would be safe parked nearby. The morning we were checking out we were told the computers were down and they could not process credit cards. We had to go out for cash, but it was a minor inconvenience and the staff were apologetic.

Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa was a good value in a convenient location.

The first room that I had in the hotel had an awful odor. Fortunately, they let me change rooms the next day. Although the new room was smaller, it did not have the odor. Overall, the hotel is not bad for the price and close to many sites in old Palermo.

The hotel is based on a high-roofed ex-bank like building of some antiquity. Inside it is a calm, cool and peaceful retreat from the narrow and pedestrian-unfriendly streets that funnel Palermo's heavy traffic through the centre. Our room had a lovely balcony overlooking a residential courtyard. The restaurant is well worth a visit, with reasonably priced and authentic Sicilian dishes and a good local wine list.

The whole experience stopping here was out of this world..... On check in the staff were amazing.... We had a trek to get to hotel and was met by a receptionist who couldn't do enough for us...... As the temp outside was 37 she rand through to the bar and had a refreshing drink sent through.....

The hotel staff help make this one of the best city breaks ever....

There is a sister hotel that is worth a trip to where you an use the pool.... This is about 30 mins away in Mondello ...

Central for food and the sights..... You have to try the eateries and many street foods that are available. The Kebabs were to die for.... There is a department store round the corner from the hotel that has a wine bar and restraint on the roof... This is a must.....sounds bizarre but the views and food are spot on...

Rooms are clean and very spacious.... Breakfast is spot on...

Ideal location in the heart of Palermo, historical building completely restored with a beautiful inner courtyard, attentive staff and premium comfort.
If you have a car, it's easier to give it to the valet (18 euros per day) instead trying to find a parking in crowded Palermo.
