“Excellent location!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

Stayed for 2 nights at this hotel in October 2012 and overall was satisfied. The hotel has excellent central location (but on a busy street!) and its own car parking (EUR 10 per night), which was very handy.
We stayed in 2 different rooms (at the beginning and the end of our trip) and the rooms do seem to vary in size quite a bit. The 1st room was on thne 4th floor and was rather small, although clean. The 2nd room was on the 1st floor and was much bigger. Both rooms were fine, though. There is a fridge in every room and tea/coffee making facilities, which I like, especially when you check out at 6 am and there is no breakfast availiable yet. My main issue was breakfast: too many sweet baked goods and but no fruit or any fresh juice. Not a good option if you are vegan or vegertarian. Adding fresh fruit to the breakfast menu or fresh fruit salad would definitely improve the experience. Good hotel for a short stay.

Room Tip: rooms on the lower floors seem to be larger in size

“Palermo stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

We stayed here in October we had no problem finding it after a bus ride from airport staff were most helpful and friendly our room was spacious and clean .slight problem with drainage in shower
Breakfast was a little difficult aesthete were far too many sweet things which we don't eat some eggs or more fruit and toast, but this was only a small critism very central and just a short bus ride to train station.

“Good location with parking a bonus”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

For our one night in Palermo this hotel was ideally placed (once located!) and on site parking a major bonus following the trials of Palermo traffic.Good adequate value rooms which were clean and reasonably spacious for a city hotel. Close to most sights but breakfast just ok.Recommended for a short stay in this fascinating City where the stereo type of erratic and dangerous driving is mostly true but not so bad it should put you off whilst visiting beautiful Sicily.

“Very pleasant stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

The location in Palermo is superb -- near bus lines, near restaurants, near the center of Palermo. The staff is even better; when we arrived we had a reservation mix-up, but desk personnel fixed it without any hassles. Thank you Gaia, Loreto, and Michele! A recommendation: if you want ventilation, use the air conditioner, as street noise tends to be a bit noisy, and even in October Palermo has mosquitos. We will definitely stay here on our return to Palermo (this was our third time in this wonderful city).

“Review of Hotel Garibaldi Palermo”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2012

Found the hotel with no problem. Was concerned that some reviews thought it difficult to find. You do have to go down some stairs to enter the hotel which which suitcases is a poor start. Our room was fine, but a little cold. It was a corner room, so maybe that was why. The breakfast was ok. Nothing fantastic. I suppose the usual Italian type buffet you come to expect. I was hoping for more fruit, but there was very little. The staff very helpful. We did have to pay for wi-fi. There seems to be confusion over this. Its expensive per hour, but they charged us 10 euros for the week.
The location is excellent for the city and all the sites and it felt like a very safe area. Overall i would stay here again, and would recommend it.

Room Tip: The corner rooms can be louder, but you get better views.
