“Ok restaurant for a quick meal”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

Nicely situated right off via Romana this littel restaurant serves ordinary food at modest prices. I would recomment the "fish of the day" but no the standard type of pasta, which is below Italian standard. The service is swift, and the restaurant attracts many local - which probably come "for food" not for "food experience". Hence, if you set your priorities right, you get what you pay for.

“Traditional Sicilian food and great prices.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

A great place to eat, buzzing with locals, sometimes you have to wait a few minutes to get a table, as it's always busy, but it's worth the wait. The bill for 2 main fish dishes, 2 side dishes and 2 bottles of prosecco was about €45, while another traditional restaurant we visited in Mondello, charged us €92, and with only 1 bottle of fizzy wine. Simple, delicious food and fast friendly service.

“A good restaurant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

Second night out in Palermo we wanted to try a traditional restaurant. We were seated inside and the tables were pretty close. The atmosphere was good and the service was OK as well. We had a good meal at this restaurant and didn't regret we ate here. But after ending our Sicilian tour with lot of fantastic meals all through Sicily, we have to admit that this dinner perhaps was our most simple meal after all.

“Great trattoria!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

The typical italian trattoria with homemade pastas and delicious meat/fish dishes all at around EUR 5, fun atmosphere with lots of people rushing about. Perfect for a simple, easygoing night out for comfort food. Be prepared to wait even if you have a reservation - the good news is that you get to help yourself to free wine whilst you queue!

“Good dining on a side street in Palermo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

This was our first dining experience in Palermo and this very good casual local trattoria proved to be a good place to sample Palermo/Sicilian cuisine. The caponata is excellent, as are the pasta dishes. Try the pasta with sardines. The clientele was seemingly all locals, a good sign anywhere, and people were willing to queue for lunch, another good sign.
