I spent a week at Casale del Simeto and it was a lovely experience I hope to repeat; clean facilities, beautiful vistas and peace and quiet. Casale del Simeto truly felt like home away from home as I found myself among friendly animals, orchards, a gracious staff and friendly owners. Each room is spacious and complete bathroom facilities. Added bonus: WiFi and air conditioning.

Great Place! The staff was very friendly. The view was unbelievable. The Breakfast was tasty with fresh hand picked fruit off of the property. It was very quite with Wi-Fi and cool air conditioning. I recommend this Amazing Place!

Could not imagine another trip to Sicily without an extended stay at Casale del Simeto. The facilities are clean and tasteful, and the house is surrounded by a fresh spring, orchard, garden and patio with the most picturesque view of the surrounding mountains and valley. The 'staff' and owners were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful in our accommodations - kindly rearranging our rooms to be most appropriate for the size and dynamics of our group. I already miss my morning Italian lessons from Angelo and Barbara.

Room Tip: Great A/C and wifi connection in all rooms.

When we arrived the whole family were there to welcome us. There was a tasty, typical Sicilian meal almost ready, with delicioius pasta and the meat cooked on an open fire in a specially built fireplace in the restaurant, with as much local wine as we wished. Our hosts made us feel a part of their family and completely at home. I felt that I was with long lost friends. I also had a real opportunity to speak more Italian than on all previous holidays to Italy. As we had no transport, Angelo was more than willing to give us lifts to the nearest town, and took us on a trip to see Etna, his magnificent villa and the fish market in Catania. He even came to pick us up when we got off the bus at the wrong stop. Marila spent a long time on the computer with us showing us what we could visit in Catania and how to get there.
The views were magnificent and we had plenty of long walks through orange groves and along the rocky coast. Breakfast was continental, but plenty available with delicious marmalade and home made orange juice from the oranges on their land. It was fun seeing so many cats and dogs, especially when they were fed, and they were no problem to guests. We had a lovely room with ensuite bath and a heater. There was a huge sheltered balcony overlooking a fantastic view where one could read or exercise. I hope to be able to go back and see them one day.

Room Tip: Rooms much better than they appear in the photos. Very restful. All upstairs, so not suitable for s...

This spring we booked a camping trip to Sicily but decided to stay one night in a B&B as there were no campsites within an easy drive of Mount Etna. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like one of the family. After dropping our bags in our large and clean room we sat outside with a drink whilst our pizza (best I've ever had) was made.

The next day we were due to camp near Milazzo but decided to book another night. It wasn't the 'staff' who went out of their way to help us, for that weekend they were our Sicilian family. Would book another flight to Sicily for this place alone.
