we enjoy our week stay in Pellicano d'Oro. the staff was very professional and friendly. Breakfast is absolutely wonderful. the dinner is good. The hotel is very near the Olbia airport (15minutes by car). You can rent a car directly from the reception of the hotel (but you have to pay an extra costs of 20Eur for this service). rooms in the new building are beautiful and clean BUT avoid to book the room 16 (old building). it is absolutely out of the 4stars standard...
unfortunately there are no shops or pubs near the hotel. In any case pellicano d'oro can offer all what you need.

We throughly enjoyed our weeks stay at the Pellicano. The hotel is immacuately clean and the superior sea view rooms in the old part of the hotel were fantastic. We loved the lawned gardens that then led directly to the white sandy beach and beautiful sea. The staff were amazing speaking several languages making every guest feel special. We stayed half board and weren't disappointed. Being vegetarians we let the hotel know on arrival and the 5 course evening meal was superb every night. I train people in customer service and I have to say the staff at this hotel are role models for us all. I highly recommend this hotel and will be back next year.

Well worth the 4 star rating. Beautifully presented, with friendly courteous staff.
Sky t.v., comfy if firm beds, modern design.
A little expensive, but managed to get a 7 nights for 5 deal with Discover - Sardinia which made it good value.
You could also of had the half board package at the same offer which would of made it very cost effective, but we decided on bed and breakfast.
The breakfast was good, only had lunch once which was o.k. Did not eat dinner at the hotel.
All in all a very nice hotel on the beach.
You do really need the use of a car everywhere in Sardinia as taxis are expensive.
Very good restaurant at about 10 minutes walk towards the main road ( sorry forgot it's name, but take a torch if you intend to walk back at night ).

My boyfriend and I spent 3 days at this hotel in May, and loved it. It is situated on a beautiful beach, is a short drive to Olbia airport and for a 4 star hotel near the Costa Smeralda it is well priced. Having said that it is at the bottom end of the four star range, both in price and in ameneties. We stayed in the new block and the rooms although simple were well designed, and very very clean. The restaurant is good and dinner is a 4 course meal, but we had some fantastic meals (at Mama beach cafe at the other end of the beach, amongst others) so I would recommend against taking the half board option. Also, my boyfried is vegetarian which the staff tried their best to cater to, but they didn't have vegetarian options and one night he ended up with a bowl of pasta and some grilled vegetables which is not a lot for 20 euros. The staff were on a whole wonderful, Dana especially went out of her way to make us feel welcomed.
