“For Value and Service look here first!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

Geovillage is a very large complex built in an Industrial area , all though inside the complex you would never know that! It was easy to find from Olbia airport ( a very modern efficient little airport)

We were Greeted by 2 multi lingual young men with extensive customer service skills and as it was just after 10pm they immediately called the restaurant manager requesting they remained open specifically for our party after closing time. They were helpful, informative, and kept a constant smile throughout our weeks stay. My wife uses a mobility scooter , and we were a party of 6. The rooms were large and spacious, clean, and exceeded our expectations, the balcony had flowers and the views were pleasant. there were 2 floors above ground in the main complex.
Maid service was daily, there was No tea making facilities but as we were aware of this and brought our own from the UK, power points were plenty. The shower , Bidet, and washing facilities were excellent .Breakfast was the same menu daily , with something for everyone without being spectacular. dinner in the restaurant or Pizzeria was excellent and cost only
25 euros stunning value. Eating out from this Hotel requires a car or taxi ride of 4 Klm .

Facilities at Geovillage are first class, The gym, in well Kitted out, swimming facilities are numerous and the Spa / wellness centre is outstanding, our group took full advantage of the treatments available at attractive prices to hotel guests , and again staff were excellent and well trained. There are 2 sauna's and a steam room available close to the hydrotherapy pool.
Overall we were made to feel very welcome by ALL of THE STAFF , ALL OF THE TIME!
Special mentions go to the Restaurant manager as he was so switched on to expectations of Guests , and to Simone on reception as this guy provided our first Impressions of Sardinia and the Hotel we had chosen and he was EXCELLENT. We paid only 313 euro's per couple 1 week B&B for the 18th May and for what we received this was worth DOUBLE at least.

NEGATIVES: Wi-Fi was poor in the hotel rooms although Free. The bar prices were high but so was the whole of Sardinia. Access to the Pizzeria for a wheelchair is difficult, as there are 2 bridges to cross (Through a very pleasant Garden walk one might add) but they need only a small raised slope on both ends. There is no entertainment of any kind.

RECOMENDATION
PLACE A MICROWAVE OVEN IN THE RESTAURANT FOR USE OF THE GUESTS. Such an easy solution to cold bacon and scrambled egg, & add baked beans to the breakfast menu!

Sardinia itself is beautiful the small but spectacular beaches spread throughout the Island are the best we have seen in Europe. Sardinia appears to be in a transition period from being the "Destination of Choice" to the rich and wealthy to an Island in need of revitalisation, "from a tourism perspective" . as the rich and wealthy have diminished greatly in numbers or "Gone to Dubai" Sardinia has rightly in my opinion gone the way of "The Budget Airline" this will certainly bring opportunities to travellers like us to sample the beauty and splendour of this treasure in the Med, although it is likely that in 10 years , the increase in tourists will have its effect so We suggest "SEE IT NOW"

Room Tip: Ask for a room near reception and the 2 lifts as you are near to all facilities

Very odd place. We were looking for a spa/hotel in Olbia to wind up a trip to Sardinia and on the surface this place looked great. The reception staff were very friendly, the prices were reasonable, the rooms were spacious and clean, and there are lots of dining and fitness/relaxing options, however the reality once we'd checked in was quite different.

The spa was not kept very clean. There was a charge for towels or bathrobes. The temperature of the water was too cold. Many of the hydromassage jets and sprays in the pool and surrounding areas were broken. There were supposed to be four metal beds submerged in the water around which water would bubble. Only one worked. Alarmingly one was just a jagged pipe sticking submerged in the shallow end which people could easily not see but injure themselves on. The staff said all would be fixed by the next day, but no effort had been made to do so.

The "a la carte" restaurant was understaffed and offered dismal food, with a menu worse than the photo attached would indicate. "Slice of horse", anyone?! The mozzarella starter was the worst I have ever tasted in 25 years of regularly visiting Italy. I asked for the spaghetti with clams and baby tomatoes and was instead offered spaghetti with mussels and some kind of sausage: I had the wisdom to decline this immediately.

In a separate brightly lit hall the "buffet" reminded me of the worst school dinners - simply atrocious. Tired salads, stale bread, trays of tepid unappetising food... This was at dinner. Breakfast was if anything worse, with sickening trays of scrambled egg and nasty bacon. When a friend asked for a boiled egg, it was as if he'd asked the kitchen to invent the chicken. Half an hour later a tray of boiled eggs materialised which the hall of punters descended upon liked deprived inmates.

The free WiFi was infuriatingly sporadic - ie failing almost by the minute. The car park was a treacherous slalom course. The cocktail bar rarely had the right ingredients to make any of the drinks on the menu.

The staff were sullen or lackadaisical, except Simone on reception who was extremely helpful and accommodating.

After a few hours in this place, which has extensive grounds, including several outdoors pools, tennis courts, a gym, all underused, we began to feel as if we were not in a spa resort but a compound. It was with some relief that two days later we shot our car out of the uscita.

Everybody knows its name give the full address and pay through the noseto £139.99 online discounted price by a transfer company which will remain nameless.

No complimentary massage still have the vouchers to prove it. No buses on the Sundays, noisy athelitic types, greedy bikers at breakfast, alotisin the Pizzeria and grumy French speaking waiter who has watched too many Fawlty Towers. Sadly he was not acting.

He can speak English and probably uderstands it far better than I do.

Room Tip: Learn French keep the accent. Speak English if you dear. Be kind to the hotel staff. *Bonjawno! Graz...

3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

We stayed 3 nights in Geovillage. It was a last minute trip and the main reason to pick Geovillage was the fact it had an indoor pool and family rooms (as we travel with two children). The indoor pool was a must because in april the outdoor versions are way to cold to swim in (in fact they weren't even cleaned yet).

Facilities: Seeing we were there out of season not all facilities and restaurants (I think there are 4 in the resort) were open. We had dinner in the restaurant that was open on one night and although they didn't have everything on the menu what they did have was lovely.

The sport infrastrcuture is fabulous. You have two outdoor pools (one olympic) and two indoor pools. The pools are used by people from town, so there are schools, clubs.... but they only seem to use one outdoor and one indoor pool. I didn't like the fact that there are only shared dressing rooms in the indoor pool area and the hotel rooms are far from the indoor pool so you need to change there.
Beside the pools, they also have a lot of football fields, some tennis courts and a spa.

Rooms are spacious but there isn't that much eye for detail and some things were broken (again, maybe this was because the summer season hadn't started yet).

Breakfast: They should pay more attention to breakfast. Although the selection is good, the fruit didn't look good, the tables were not really dressed..... everything just looked a bit tired and old. Breakfast hours are a bit strange: just until 9u30 and if you came late, not everything was available. But..... the espresso and cappucino were yummy.

Location: You need a rental car. Without you're trapped in the industrial zone, where the hotel is located. With a car you can get to some lovely beaches (Pittulonghu) in just a few minutes.
Tip for the beach: don't go to the main beach, there are many lovely, small beaches.

I spent there 1 night and happy it was only one.
I understand it was in january and it is not during the high season, but, the hotel premises were not clean, the carpet definitely need to be replaced, and having at least a bottle in the minibar would have been nice.
I would not choose that place again.

We spent 3 nights in August 2012. The room was quite big and clean, with a nice bathroom. The bed was ok, not really great, with 2 mattresses put together, which I always dislike. There is no decoration, the room is very simple inside. Overall, the room is a good one.

This is a massive hotel, that's what we didn't like. Too many people and they are not prepared for it. Breakfast, especially, was the worst part. It is a "war zone". Hundreds of people in the same place, food was very basic, waiters not polite. The juice was an artificial one. Fruits would finish and not be replenished. It was really unpleasant.

The swimming pool is ok, very large, but it was hard to find a place to sit. It was always crowded, with no availability of chairs. The internet stopped working for almost 2 days. And the hotel is far from the beach, but it was not a problem for us cause we had a car. The SPA looked really nice, but we didn't use it.The gym was excellent!

Other than breakfast, there is nothing really wrong. It is a big hotel, a little worn-down, but fine other than that. It just didn't work for us.
