Upon recommendation from some local Sardinians we are working with we had dinner at 4 Mori on a Friday nite. Had the cab not stopped right in front of the door I doubt we would have found the place as it's down a narrow street and the door is recessed into the side of a building. We had called ahead for 8:30 reservations and arrived right on time and were seated immediately. Post it note on the table said "Inglese x 3" meaning the person who called in for the reservations spoke English. I read another review here by someone who was taken back by their similar note and wonder to myself "who cares?". As soon as we sat down 10 appetizers hit the table without ordering consisting of octopus, mussels, clams, fried mixed seafood, calamari, escargot, tuna, etc. Everything was very authentic and excellent tasting. The primi patti was linguine with clams and mussels along with linguine with lobster. For the second course had fillet of fish in lemon butter wine sauce. Dessert was small pastries along with coffee. Remember, there was no menu to choose from, only a recital of the menu from the wait staff. I'm sure they cook whatever they can but fresh that day down at the Cagliari sea port.
I'm not sure where some of the other reviewers ate but they didn't eat here if they didn't find some very good food. Anywhere the locals will eat is typically a place I like to eat at when traveling. There were plenty of locals there as well. We found no problems with the service, owner or the wait staff.
In terms of value the bill was $150 Euro for the three of us which included all the food, 2 bottles and half a carafe of wine along with espresso and Zibibbo.
