“Come to Relax”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

This is a wonderful place to relax. The rooms are modern and very comfortable. Bathrooms are spacious. Amenities are very nice and a treat. I especially like the water and sauna room on the bottom floor. It is a very relaxing spa experience to do the complete circuit in the pool. The only minor drawback is that it is over the hill from the old part of town, but that is not a big problem when you have a car. Service is great all over.

Room Tip: Rooms higher up have a great view.

A short stay in this hotel finished our tour of Sardinia. Firstly neither of us liked Cagliari which didn't bode well. Secondly even if you did like the city this hotel is some way out of it and a walk in takes you through a very downbeat area. Thirdly, it is a hotel with a bit of an attitude. If you are a "suit" coming in for a meeting and buying a coffee on the company credit card then you get "the smile" which comes with good service thrown in. If you are a mere weary traveller in your t-shirt, shorts and sandals having toured their fair country for a few weeks and booking in for several nights in a suite and booking spa treatments and room service then you get "the scowl" which doesn't come with anything but attitude. I should add that this wasn't the case with junior staff who all seemed professional but more so with staff such as the head receptionist and head waiter at breakfast. I'm not used to paying a lot of money for someone to treat me like something they just just stepped in and for that reason, and despite the hotel being nice, I will not recommend this hotel or return to it.
I would also agree with other reviews about the dining. Very odd menu with little or no vegetarian options. Better food found elsewhere.
The spa is good but by no means the best i've been to and was spoiled by 4 teenage couples arriving to use it for what can only be described as sexual foreplay.

I still know the time when the old telekom tower was without use and abandoned. So when it was finally transformed into a hotel I was pleased to see this area revived.

Cagliari is anyway difficult for international travellers who are looking for modern and urban style hotels, decent rooms, good food and vicinity to the city centre. So a hotel of this kind was long awaited.

The makers of the T Hotel found the best solution I could have imagined. A unique design outside with a stylish and modern interior. Changing exhibitions of sardinian artwork and craftsmenship in the hotel lobby give an insight into the tremendous stock of sardinian culture.

Make sure to book one of the upper tower rooms so you can enjoy the historic city on the one side or the viwe over the salines and the Poetto beach.

Breakfast is tremendous and not italian at all (warm coffe and some cookies:) and can keep up with international expectations. A large variety of breads, dolci, fruits, cold cuts, cheese, cereals and what you want. There is nothing comparable in the city.

Also the bar area is nice for an afternoon drink and snack before you go to town and enjoy the many local food bars and restaurants.

T Hotel is also perfectly located for all who want a mix between beach and city travel. Some 5-10 minutes drive by car or bus to the beautiful Poetto beach with all its Kioskes and beach bars or a 10 minute walk into the historic city center with all the shopping, wining and dining that you may expect. Go down via Dante Aligheri and start to enjoy Cagliari at its best.

Room Tip: Ask for the upper tower rooms to enjoy the best view in Cagliari!

T Hotel Cagliari is the kind of Hotel those who like modern and functional buildings will love. Nice and comfortable rooms, ammenities, a nice spa, good restaurant and friendly and professional staff. Also, a helpful parking just in front. Very nice Hotel.

Room Tip: Room on a high floor

There are so many hotels in Cagliari and we chose T Hotel for being relatively close to the center of town whilst having its own parking and reportedly a fabulous breakfast. We were advised to get a room in the tower and we duly stayed on the 10th floor. I am happy to report that everything turned out right - easily the best breakfast in Sardinia, including salmon and salted beef in a vast selection of simply everything! The tower rooms are very modern, as the entire hotel, with huge windows offering great views. It may be possible to walk to the old town, but as we could not sleep we decided to drive as it was Sunday before 6 am. A wise decision, as we were up in the castle in 5 minutes, easy parking everywhere, not hot and the whole place to ourselves. By 9 we were back, happy we did not have to walk to/from the hotel, actually - I expect a good 20-30 minute walk: Cagliari is HUGE and what may look on the map as a short distance is actually FAR!
The only disappointment was the dinner. We arrived at 9 pm and there did not seem to be any local restaurant. The hotel has a limited menu, rather fancy whilst not that expensive, given the description of the dishes. But it turned out to be the worst dinner in Sardinia, with undercooked spaghetti to begin with and the main course so tepid, that we could not decide whether it was supposed to have been served hot or cold. Service was fine and we did not want to make waves, but we certainly would not eat there again.
We came knowing that there would be a hefty charge for using the pool, quite disproportionate to the size of the pool. This does not enhance anybody's affection for the hotel and one can only presume these charges are paid by corporate guests (well, by their businesses).
Would we come back to the hotel? Maybe for the breakfast, as otherwise it is rather an one-off kind of experience: you've been there, you've done that and no need to do it again, really. Still, recommended - provided you have time and appetite for the breakfast....

Room Tip: The higher you can be in the tower, the better - but apparently also the more expensive...

It is a beautiful hotel with lovely staff I was very pleased with our choice hence this lengthy review.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel towards the end of June and had a lovely stay. The friendly staff were amazing especially as we spoke very limited/basic Italian! We had a twin bed, double beds (well it seemed so). The rooms are lovely and clean. Great if you are a light sleeper. the curtains block out any sign of sun to the point some mornings we did not know it was morning!! The rooms are spacious enough for two with a very good sized bathroom with everything you would need, being stocked up everyday without request.

The food OMG, breakfast was amazing, we decided that half hour was just not enough for us and we needed and hour to enjoy the beautiful, fresh selection of foodie delights. We ate at the hotel restaurant once and the food was gorgeous! As you can tell we loved this hotel. Definitely stay here if in Cagliari. Oh and you must try the Hydrotherapy pool and Sauna - LUSH!

Poetto beach is about 10min taxi ride which was fine for us. Go to the Marina if this is your first time it roughly a 30min walk if not jump into any one of the taxis that line up outside the hotel like your personal chuffer. One last thing the bar here is great, we only sampled it on the last day but the price was no different to the bars in town and it was a lovely end treat to sit chat, laugh and take in the beauty of the hotel outside

The hotel advertises itself as a designer hotel. I dont think that it would pass as a designer hotel but it looks ok. The big glass cylinder structure looks nice but it makes all the rooms rather hot as the hotel is full of windows. The curtains in nearly all rooms give out a very bad smell. The bathrooms are nice. Internet is free and ok speed.Breakfast is ok
