“Great trip to Cagliari”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

Hotel 5 - 10 minutes out of the city but brilliant bus connections - every 5 minutes or so to city and beach for only 3 euros a day. Swimming pool large, clean (and cool!) with not too many loungers - a peaceful haven after a busy day in the city. Hotel and rooms spotless with interesting tiling in the bathroom! Lovely big balcony but strangely no furniture on the balcony - why have a balcony? Food and drink in bar very reasonably priced and good quality. Rated 4 star but furnishings etc probably only 3 star. Breakfast plentiful with very good selection of food and stunning view from 8th floor restaurant. Would go back due to position and easy access to city.

Room Tip: High floor - can see the sea

We recently had a very pleasant weekend in this hotel. It was clean, comfortable but I wouldn't rate it was 4 star. The rooms were fairly simple, the TV was an antique and there was no information about hotel facilities, this had to be extracted from the staff on reception where English was not always spoken. The buffet breakfast was very good and the pool was a real boon as the August temperatures were over 30C. The cafe/bar was very good value although choice was fairly limited.
The hotel was very convenient for a bus stop which was essential. The daily 3€ bus ticket was a wonderful suggestion(from Trip Advisor!)
The most bizarre feature of this hotel however are the balconies which have no furniture making using them very difficult to use!

We booked this hotel because of the good reviews...room is confortable and clean.
Located in a residential and quiet area, is far away from the City Centre (30-35 minutes walk) and staff were not very helpful,

Stayed here just one night. Close to Cagliari Football stadium and in a good area with bus stops outside the hotel which goes to the city centre and beach. It has very good rooms, a lovely outdoor pool and a small gym. Breakfast is served on the top floor with a panoramic view of the area. I would stay here again for a longer period if the price was right. I found the staff to be some of the most helpful that I have come across.

Room Tip: If eating out at night in the city get the restaurant to phone a taxi for you as we found it almost...

We appeciated the hotel and the personnal is very sympathetic
We recommend this hotel
The location is quiet but needs to take the bus into downtown or the beach which is not a problem because the cost is low and the bus runs frequently

Stayed here for the first 3 nights on our holiday to Sardinia. We wanted to see the city before moving off to explore the coast.
It was fine for our purposes; the hotel is slightly out of the busy main city, so it is quieter, but the bus goes past the hotel so transport is easy.
The hotel is quiet and a little lacking in atmosphere, but there were a number of real positives:
the rooms amd bathrooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable; the staff are polite and friendly; breakfasts are very good with plenty of choice and the view from the 8th floor breakfast room is great, looking over the port (that's presumably why it is called the 'Panorama'!) and the pool is very clean, attractive and of a reasonable size (and you seem to have it to yourselves most of the time!) Overall this is a perfectly acceptable place with some nice features.

Room Tip: Rooms are nice but ask them if they have any with balcony furniture, otherwiae you will not be able...

Hotel Panorama is a good choice for a few days in Cagliari. Although the common rooms and the bedrooms definitely could use a renovation, I appreciated having the nice sea-view balcony and pool after a day at the beach. (Some pretty flowers around the pool would help to break up the look of the cemented area.) The location is very convenient - on the main road, with the bus route to town in one direction and Poetto Beach in the other. A good breakfast is served in the large dining room on the top floor with a beautiful view of the sea and the sprawling city.
