“would not stay here again”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

I stayed at this hotel for a week. On arrival I had to ask so many practical questions relating to the hotel and my stay because the information was not just given to me. The advertisement for the hotel says 'WiFi available in all areas' which is totally untrue, you have to come down to reception to use it and there is nowhere to sit comfortably to spend any time online. When I mentioned at reception that the hotel was advertised with WiFi everywhere the man told me I was wrong and should complain to the website!!!
Rooms were ok but the beds were extremely lumpy and uncomfortable, the shower leaked and the 'hairdryer' isn't even worth talking about.
Would not recommend and would not stay again

we stayed for 3 night,s 2 of them we didnt have any water in our rooms during the night been forced to go to the toilets placed in the main hall. They even tryed to charge us for the water we used to brush our teeth!!My sister has to changed her room a few hours after checking in since the smell coming from the drains was absolutely disgusting.
The whole experience was like being back to our camping days in our teens but paying 160 euros per night.
The building itself it is beautiful and the staff quite nice -apart from the manager who I kindly suggest to attend to some formal trainning on complaints management and water supply-his explanations on why we did not have any water for 2 nights were abrupt and an insult to our intelligence.

Nicely renovated historic building but lacking the finishing touches. In particular, the flood-lighting in the courtyard should be dimmed or pointed upwards, the beds should be better, and the outside areas are screaming for a nice pool and garden.

Convenient location halfway between the airport and the city and 300m from a nice beach, but somewhat desolate immediate surroundings (a highway, a sports stadium, quiet neighbourhoods).

The breakfast is very "Italian", i.e. just croissants and coffee, plus juice from a dispenser, and was even charged extra (the only hotel on our tour where this was the case).

The staff was mostly friendly and helpful but speak little English.

Really sympathetically restored building. The owners were charming and were there to help if needed but discreet. The rooms are well equipped and very clean. Only a short walk to the beach. As it was low season the restaurant was closed which was a shame but understandable. I would definitely go back there and I usually prefer 4 star hotels with all the luxuries that go with!
