This small B&B (currently 4 rooms with plans to add more) has spacious rooms, lots of room to spread your wings in the common areas (dining room, family/TV room and patio/terraza on the roof), delicious continental breakfast and a very gracious and welcoming manager. Only 2 of the 4 rooms have private bath and the other 2 share a common bathroom. Antonella (the manager) bakes fresh coronets in the morning (similar to croissant) and offers yogurt, cakes and pastries, choice of juices and choice of fresh coffee - all served in a very elegant dining room. The whole place is air conditioned.
We had the large room with private 4-peice bath on the ground floor and with access to a large tarazza with a great view. The room has a queen bed and a single plus dresser, night tables and an armoir - with dancing room to spare. The bathroom is also quite large.
The only negative is a) there is only 1 spot for car parking right at the front door (in a tiny piazza by the village duomo) so if it is taken, you have to scrounge for parking somewhere else 2 or more blocks away via narrow alleyways. I only got that parking spot 1 night out of 4 but I was lucky to not have to park too far away (parking is free anywhere). b) the mattress was too hard to my liking, rock hard. When I commented about it, Antonella advised that she bought top of the line beds which were quite expensive - the best available for full chiropractic support, or something like that. While it is true that we did not experience any back problems in sleeping on them, I just wish it was softer (like with a pillow top very popular in North America). Anyway, there was plenty of reason to stay in spite of it because of the charm to the place and the wonderful manager.
If you are in this corner of Foggia (Biccari, Troia, Lucera, Alberona, etc.) I highly recommend you consider staying at B&B Caterina, which is easily found in the middle of town attached to the Duomo in Biccari.
