“very nice, good value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

We got a room rate of 50 euros per tax mid-week September, top floor, shared bathroom.
All clean, modest, comfortable. We found the decor pleasant - it's spare but really pleasant - Turkish carpets here and there, very light.
We found the rooms pleasant and homely.
Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant nice (didn't eat in the evening.)
The staff are very nice and helpful.

The hotel is small, but well set out. The couple that run the hotel are charming, speak very good English and were more than helpful. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and ours had a balcony which was pleasant to sit out on and watch the world go by.
Breakfast could be taken indoors or outside in the garden, and had a large selection of food on offer.

Room Tip: Higher floors have balconies. Views are better at the front of the hotel.

Very authentic Italian hotel.....I assume. Wonderful staff, very sweet and attempt to be as helpful as possible considering my very poor Italian and their lack of English. The room is small and very cold. The bed is as hard as a rock! The view consists of sight seeing into a residential condo complex where a very nice older man cleans a lot. The shower is small which is not a big deal to me however the "hot" water isn't very hot. The breakfast makes up for every lacking aspect of this hotel.....for the low price of 68 euros the breakfast is worth that alone!

Room Tip: Bring extra socks and a small blanket if coming in fall or winter

Stayed here on business, the company I worked with used this as a overflow hotel. It is cheap as are most hotels in Vicenza. Rooms are basic, the bed was very hard and the bathroom very small. Service was OK up to when they accused me of making a hole in the bed cover and tried to pin a €120 charge on me all of which was complete nonsense.

The restaurant is poor. Stale bread at breakfast and dinner was verging on inedible. Dried out roast chicken and overcooked mystery meat were the highlights.

Vicenza is a great stopping off point for trips to Venice as the hotel prices are far cheaper but there are much better options than the Adele.

Basic but clean. We shared a family room with one double and two bunk beds. Staff are friendly and a good choice for breakfast with croissant fruit toast yogurt and cereal. A short walk to the historic centre. overall good value for money

Tiny shower but has hot water and has optional handheld or jets which was nice. Internet for a fee (1.90 euro for 1st 20 minutes and 1 euro for each additional 20 minutes). Breakfast included choice of bread (jelly filled, chocolate filled, croissants, wheat, and sour dough), apples, plain yogurt, choice of jam, orange juice, and choice of hot tea, cappuccino, and hot chocolate. At first distance seemed daunting but a 10-minute ride into the city on the bus for 1.10 euro was well worth it (given the savings of not staying in central Venice). Bed was comfortable and had a TV, phone and desk/chair in the room.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2007

My husband and I recently spent two nights at Hotel Adele in May. The hotel was fairly easy to find using the directions provided on the website (if traveling by train just be sure to get off at the Mestre stop). The bedroom and bathroom were both nice and clean with ample space. We were thrilled to see thick bath towels as some of the other places we stayed in Italy had very thin towels! Breakfast was great, and a variety of choices were offered. The only challenge we had was speaking to some of the people working at the front desk. When we arrived there was an older gentleman working who did not speak any English at all. We had picked up a few Italian words but it was very difficult to communicate. We were trying to book a taxi to take us to the airport very early in the morning and it would have been helpful to confirm in English. Fortunately, the person working the desk the next morning spoke some English and we were able to get everything squared away. Overall we had a very nice stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a room close to Venice without the ridiculous prices.
