“Spotless and great value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

We stayed here for 4 nights. The building is beautiful and set in a working rice and maize farm so very quiet. Brilliantly located a short drive from the beautiful city of Vicenza and an easy train ride to either Venice or Verona. Lovely walks from the house past a gorgeous Palladian mansion to the local village. Great restaurant (Zanzero) nearby. The home baked cakes supplied for breakfast were superb. I could find no fault with this place!

Our was large and well-appointed and incredibly clean as was the bath. Lots of nice touches - bathrobes and slippers, potpourri, umbrellas, windows that open. The WiFi was very easy to use. Breakfast was amazing. We also enjoyed watching the chickens, ducks and roosters that are kept on the property. As for the staff, they couldn't be more welcoming. It is within easy driving distance of Vicenza. We went there every night for dinner and is also close to Padua. A perfect spot for exploring all the Veneto has to offer. Truly a delight. Do not hesitate to stay here.

We spent 4 nights at la Risarona, a lovely agriturismo set in the midst of rice fields. Beautiful flowers decorate the grounds, and the facility is amazing. It was built from a 17th century barn, and the furniture was all locally made. The rooms were large, clean, crisp and comfortable and the bathroom was great with a wonderful shower. The grounds were lovely and welcoming. Roberta was cheerful, charming and helpful to us in planning our excursions in the area. She also baked all of the wonderful treats she served for breakfast along with eggs, meats, cheeses, fruit and yogurt. Convenient to Padua, the Eugenean hills, Vicenza, Verona and Lake Garda. La Risarona is a very special place to stay.

My first experience of an agriturismo and it has set a very high standard. The location is delightful. The owners have done a terrific job in transforming a former agricultural building into a very attractive establishment. Roberta provides the warmest of welcomes and could not have been more helpful. She is evidently a born baker and the fruits (should really be cakes) of her labours are much in evidence at breakfast. Our room was light and pleasantly furnished; the showerroom was faultless. A cleaner B&B would be hard to imagine! And there is even home-grown rice to purchase on departure. The grounds are a delight too. Altogether excellent.

La Risarona is perhaps the best ever agriturismo site I've visited, and I have visited quite many. The country house is elegant and the rooms are comfortable, the breakfast with numerous delicious home made cakes ottimo! The silence and beauty of the surroundings is really amazig between high way and railway. Roberta is a perfect hostess, so friendy and always eager to help - and a master in the kitchen!

We stayed for two nights and were very pleased with all aspects of the visit. Roberta was very helpful with ideas about where to eat, how to get to Vicenza, where to park, etc. After a week or more of hotels in the centre of noisy cities, it was good to have the silence of the countryside. There is one very good restaurant (Zenzero) quite close by and three others, average or above average, also close by (a few km at most). Definitely recommended.

Warm welcome from the all family of La Risarona, they make you fell at home from the moment you step foot in their Agriturismo. The countryside is beautiful as are the rooms and breakfast room, which is floded with sunlight in the morning. Every detail in the beautifully decorated rooms is well-thought and the beds are very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast is all home-made, with delicious cakes, jams and pies. And there is always a smile and a nice chat with the Owners to wait you at breakfast time!

Room Tip: room number 10 is very large and comfortable
