A lovely B&B in the hills overlooking Valpolicella. Our charming host Gabriele welcomed us warmly and was a source of great local knowledge throughout our stay. Our room was spacious, bright and very clean, with great views over the vineyards.Breakfast on the terrace was delightful, more great views, and the restaurant in the same building was very good for dinner. The vilage was also a delight, combining an edgy, arty bar with a wonderful mediaeval church, a great people-watching spot.

This B&B is beatifully located on a hill with views of vineyards and even the Garda Lake at a distance. The rooms are simple, but clean and with all the ammenities that one needs. The service is very friendly. The restaurant in the building is excellent so you can stay there and enjoy good food, wine, a fantastic view and then take the stairs up to your room. Perfect!

I HIGHLY recommend Villa San Giorgio! It is just outside a quaint village in the Valpolicella region. Rooms are above average size and bathrooms also. We had one of the smaller rooms for one night but then moved to a larger room with a view for the remainder of our stay. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the host Gabriel. He is amazing. He goes out of his way to make your stay great. He provides you with wine, directions, information about the area and will call to make you tasting reservations. He seems to be there from breakfast till closing late at night and is always eager to help you in any way. The restaurant downstairs is very good. The views all around the villa are like postcards. It is close to Verona and Lake Garda. If you are looking for a place to stay in this area please stay here. This b&b is a gem worth finding!!!!

This B&B is about 20-30 minutes in the coutryside north of Verona. It is an easy drive into the city to enjoy Opera and sites. Friendly hosts. Beautiful outdoor patio for breakfast and relaxing. The vistas are amazing. You can see Lake Garda from the balcony. See my other review for an absolutely specatular restaurant in the area. There is also when downstairs, though we never tried it....more of a seafood place.

Proseco was provided upon arrival...along with some potato chips. That became a daily ritual for us. We got the last room at the top, so we did not have much in the way of view, however, it was two bedrooms, and even though no door between, pretty private.

Nice downstairs seating area as well, for when it rained and did not want to sit on the patio.

Beds were good.

The big draw is the countryside and views!

The owner, Gabriele, is awesome and really welcoming. We had a great view. The breakfast each day was nice. It's a bit of effort to get up here, we had a car. Rooms were clean and nice. Paid a good price. Gabriele booked restaurants for us and gave us directions. Mum really loved staying here - we would go back. It's a bit far out of the town of verona though so if you don't have a car I would probably stay closer unless you want to take cabs.

The villa is beautiful and we really enjoyed that there is a great restaurant in the bottom of the villa - with great food and a good wine list and a very nice and friendly staff. The view from the terrace (both in restaurant + in the B&B) is stunning - you can see the Garda Lake and all the wine yards.

Our room didn't have a view (ask for a view - we are certain it is very nice :-) but the room was nice and big, the cleaning was spotless and and we had really good beds and a good large bathroom. Also there is a big fridge in the room - and good A/C.

The staff in the Bed & Breakfast were all very helpful, nice, smiling and friendly and the breakfast was really nice, lots of fruit, cold cuts and good juice, yogurt and coffee

We agree with all the positive comments posted - the Villa San Giorgio exceeded our expectations. Unfortunately we did not meet the manager, but were well served by young Matteo. Our room had a wonderful balcony with breath-taking view. The tiny village is quiet - we would have preferred a store or two - and an historic church, claimed to be the second-oldest in Italy. We enjoyed our days driving through the small villages of the area and everywhere we stopped we were the only tourists. Coming back each evening to the villa was a treat. The room was comfortable and spotless - a great choice to experience the Valpolicella area.

Room Tip: The balcony room is wonderful!
