“The best address in Verona”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2014

This is now my third visit and I will be back. If you are looking for an apartment, fantastic service, beautiful gardens, swimming pool an oasis of tranquility and the best welcome you are likely to find in Italy then this is the place for you. Chiara and Manuela welcomed me back like an old family friend, and this I noticed with so many of their guest. Most of them who I spoke to said it was their second, third or even fourth visit. This speaks for itself in a world where it is easy to look for another place to stay on the Internet. Every time I go it gets better. The gardens and pool are maintained so well, plenty of comfortable sun beds and umbrellas. The appartements are spotless and contain everything you need that is often missing from some places I've stayed. A full length mirror being one!,There was nothing I had to ask for-it's all there ready and waiting! The breakfast is amazing and I guarantee if you go there you won't want to leave. Plenty of parking, a regular bus (stop a 100m away) to town and the station or a 25 min pleasant walk into the centre of Verona. Manuela provided me with a bike and the ride along the river to the centr took 10miniutes.Thank you Chiara,Manuela and all of your lovely family for another wonderful stay. See you next time

Can recommend this place to families and couples alike, a welcome "oasis" of calm just outside the city. Chiara and family made us very welcome and were very knowledgeable and helpful. The apartment was beautifully clean, had all the facilities one might need and had a view over the pool, which was a good size and pool towels provided - our 8 yr old loved it!!! The supermarket is a short walk away and the bus stop is just outside €1.50 per journey into the city. A taxi back will cost around €10 . But the bus is easy before 8pm . Breakfast was continental and plentiful with yummy cakes!!! Thank you we will definitely return xx

Room Tip: Ones with pool view lovely but they all look great x

I would wholeheartedly reccomend Ca' dell' orto to anyone looking to come to Verona. The garden and pool areas are really well maintained and beautiful. The staff/owners are extremely helpful and friendly. Verona itself is just a 10 minute taxi journey away, as is the airport, and taxis' can be ordered through the front office without any hassle.
We have already booked a return visit!

We booked 3 rooms in May/June, grounds are very well kept, pool is big enough to accommodate all guests, breakfast was nice, the owners were extremely helpful with maps, booking taxis, recommending great restaurants in Verona. I would definitely stay here again, the bus stop was just outside and it was only a 10 mins bus journey into the centre of Verona, taxis home were 8 euro. Rooms are basic, its the complex that is nice.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the pool

Loved our stay here for three days in September! It was our 25th wedding anniversary. Chiara recommended a great restaurant and reserved it for us. We had a great room on the top floor with laundry and a great balcony. It's a reasonable walk to the old town of Verona. Chiara and her family were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts are amazing! The pool area is very nice as well. I would highly recommend and I think good value for your money.

We stayed at the Ca' dell'Orto apartments for three nights before leaving for Venice on a Mediterranean cruise. Chiara and her sister were so friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely apartment on the second floor with a huge balcony, all in bloom, over looking the countryside of Verona. The apartment had everything you could need, even a washing machine. It was so clean and well cared for and the king size bed felt so good after our long flight from Seattle. The room came with breakfast which was wonderful eating outside in the garden. You not only had your choice of regular breakfast foods but Chiara's cakes. Wow! The almond torte is to die for. The apartment is about a 25 minute walk into town along the river and there is also a bus that takes maybe ten minutes. The bus doesn't run on Sunday but taxis are never a problem. They would call a taxi for us and it would arrive within minutes. Is it worth staying outside the city. I believe it is well worth it. Verona can get loud and busy and we enjoyed this but it was nice to sleep in this peaceful haven, to wake up to the garden without tour buses or people in a rush.

We stayed in this place for two nights as could not get our usual hotel in Verona. Our room was on the ground floor facing the swimming pool. We love Verona and there is so much to see so one hardly has any time left to lounge by the pool. I suppose it is different with young children, so perhaps unsurprisingly this hotel is popular with families. It is perfectly functional but our room unfortunately was quite dark, utterly charmless and smelt of tobacco smoke. The bed was not very large or comfortable. Storage space could be improved as there were not many drawers. And while I am sure lots of people love cake for breakfast, I tend to lean to healthier options. Maybe if we have a better room, my rating would have been higher, as I appreciate the very helpful owners put a lot of effort in managing the place.

Room Tip: First floor rooms overlooking the garden are probably better
