I booked my boyfriend and me a room here for his birthday. I was worried it wouldn't be great because it was only 75 euro. It was pretty basic but still lovely with a jaw dropping view of Verona. We wandered a bit aimlessly because there was no one around to guide us and then napped before dinner.
Dinner is 5 courses for only 25-28 euro a person. It is a set menu with items that change daily. We had a couple of delicious items that I would have never ordered for myself (rabbit pasta, beet root risotto) and we had wine. We had lots of wine. 8 euro for the cheapest, 20 for their midrange, 40 euro for the most expensive. We had 8s and 20s and a regular customer actually advised us against trying the 40 euro red because he said it is too heavy.
Dinner came to around 90 euro despite us having 4 bottles of wine.
Super friendly atmosphere with great waiters. We found out we were unlucky checking in - all but one of the staff was away at a wedding and the one girl left behind was both overwhelmed and didn't really care but it was fine nonetheless. The difference was so obvious when the normal staff showed up. Friendly, helpful, gave us a small discount because we hadn't gotten a wine tasting because of the staff being away. Overall - great. Had we been any other weekend I think it would have been flawless. We are definitely going to be back.
We also bought several of the 8 euro bottles to take home. This was truly the best 8 euro wine I have ever had and just amazing wine all around.
