“quick, beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

It's in the heart of the old city - climb to the top of the tower for a beautiful view of the city and a fresh air, even in a hot day. We went up by the elevator (instead of climbing 243 steps), and then continuted up by foot (all in al - 368 steps). Do it. I'm sure my son (16.5 y/o) would have loved to do it. Another benefit: it's a short visit. We did it just before lunch.

“Terrific views from here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2012

The lift takes you up most of the way if you wish. No 'difficult' stairs higher up; they are wide and easy to ascend. If you're doubtful about heights, the deep walls and cills at the top keep it feeling very secure, but still with excellent views all around. Nice shop. Quite a loud bell, which is nothing to worry about but when it rings it might make you jump a little!

“Superior view of all Verona............”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2012

This medieval bell tower is a superb structure. You can get to the top to look out over the splendor that is Verona, by either the lift or the staircase. The staircase was a pleasant surprise to me as I am claustrophobic and will not ascend narrow spiral staircases so miss out on a lot of city views. Not this one! The staircase is broad and enables you to go to the very top. It is well worth the very small admission fee.
The bells do toll and it warns you of this in case you have any concerns but it's fabulous to be at the tower top as the bells chime.

“Want a view of Verona? .... THE place to go!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

Lift's available for those of you too scared to dare!
Mrs Beta-Blocker here did;
(I'd like to stress here, I went slowly, carefully & stopped only once 'properly' on the way up!)
243 steps to lift level - where there's no view, so only one way, UP!
289 steps to Viewing Tower & opportunity to take pics all across Verona - & BREATHE!!
368 steps to Bell Tower - & the bell really does toll, don't get stuck there at midday!!
Obviously you can cop out & get the lift down, but hey - if you walk UP, DOWN is so much easier & especially if your very fit 13yr old son got the lift!!!!
Accelerated heart rate, virtigo & and all other things considered The Tower was accomplanished and was one of the best things we did in Verona - glad we did it relatively 'early' in the day (11am - is early for Italians xx)
What you thinking about, get up there!......

“Great view of Verona”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

This tower offers a great city view of Verona. You can choose to climb the 300+ steps up to the top for a great pasta-and-gelato busting workout or take the lift. Be wary that the bell rings every 30 minutes - it will literally ring in your ear.
