“Travel back in time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

The Roman theatre is located right next to the river. When we were there we almost had the entire theater to ourselves. Climbing to the top of the steps gives you a breathtaking view of the river and ancient city center. You can wander around at the top and discover hidden relics.

“the stairs are hard work”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

this is a very interesting venue but when you get two thirds of the way up the stairs the next level is cordoned off. so if you want to go to the very top for the viewing point, you have to go all the way down again, out of the teatro and climb all the way up another set of stairs. but there is a rotating gate at the top, why is it not open-very tireing.

“Good views from top”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

Interesting if not superb. You can walk high up on hill above the fortress for a fine view. The weapons were pretty amazing. If you are going to more than one museum buy a pass for all. It is good for two days.

“Worth the walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

This site is situated close to Ponte Pietra. The entrance fee includes entry to the museum which is a good climb up but worth the trip. The theatre is is very good condition which means that the steps are original and may not match every country's health and safety standards - but what can you expect. Walking up to the museum allows you great views of the city. Its another site that is included in the Verona Card ( €15 for 2 days). Typically this pays for itself if you go to 3 of the site sincluded

“Fascinating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

We were not really sure what to expect, but we thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. Seeing all the different layers of stone from thousands of years ago and imagining the performances that would have been held here was quite fascinating. Our children also found it rather interesting to wander around the grounds looking at the structures. There are also so great views of Verona from the top. Definitely worth a visit.
