A great deal smaller than its larger relation, the arena, but very interesting and well worth a visit. We took a steady stroll from Via Roma and this took half an hour. There is a somewhat shoddy stage in front of the tiered seating which rather detracts from the overall picture so it is best to try and put it out of your mind and ignore it. Having viewed the amphitheatre the next step is to go up to the museum. You can walk up to it or walk part of the way and then take the lift. There are very interesting and well preserved exhibits within the museum and there are some fantastic views of Verona from the top.
