Like with many of my reviews, this one comes about two years late; I stayed here in June of 2010 with my then girlfriend, now wife, while traveling Italy on a European vacation.
This hotel was a bit of a godsend, as we found it through a random Google search. It somehow escaped the eyes of the other travel websites we had been using previously, and we booked it a few weeks in advance of the trip (which is cutting it WAY too close in my opinion).
Well, I liked it. Our room was really nice; when you can make a grown woman jump on the bed like a little girl, you know you did good. I will agree with other reveiwers that the shower is a bit small, but spent a good portion of my life with only stall showers, so for me it was same ol' same ol'. That and I'm an average sized person; if you're a larger type, you might have trouble in it. The manager was always kind when we dealt with him; he was always smiling, which, if you've read any of my other reviews, you'd know is extremely important for me.
Our room faced the back end, and at the time there was a construction project going up, but otherwise faced a tennis court and it was really quiet and peaceful. The beds were super-comfy, and we both slept like rocks. There wasn't any excess noise (that we could hear), and that's always a plus, as we have stayed in plenty of paper-walled hotels before.
It was quaint and cozy and I think it was really nice. And it wasn't far from the train station either, which is always a plus. We could get anywhere we wanted in Verona with the location of the Piccolo.

thank you very much for your good review!
We are just a small family owned hotel, we love to have a personal contact with our kind guests. Naturally it is more easy when we find someone kind and polite like you!
See you next time in Verona!
