Wanted to learn something about the regional influences of the building as well as the families that have occupied it over the centuries.
Unfortunately, this did not play a huge part of the experience as the castle was predominantly used to exhibit art from various artists. This is absolutely fine and the artwork is lovely, the exception being that the artwork bears no relation to the castle and appears randomly assimilated without explanation. The brief information cards briefly introduced the artists involved bu not necessarily the meaning, purpose, origin and significance of the individual pieces.
The worst thing about the exhibition is the security staff follow you around and stand unnervingly close making you feel very uncomfortable about reading about the artwork.
In essence I'd say if you're happy to admire a random collection of religious artwork then this may be you're cup of tea, but if you're hoping to learn about the castle itself and the history of the surrounding area, then you will be disappointed!
