My boyfriend and I booked this hotel after reading good reviews on TripAdvisor.com. We were absolutely delighted with the hotel. I have been to Italy quite a few times and was always disappointed with the run-down hotels and small rooms.

However, this hotel certainly did not disappoint. The rooms were lovely, extremely clean and a good size. Breakfast was continental with plenty to eat. The hotel is nicely decorated and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The only negative point I had was the air-conditioning was a bit noisy in the room but kept the room cool and we could turn it off at night while sleeping anyway.

I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone and will defintely stay there again.

Stayed for 1 night in superior room at front of hotel (not a balcony room as not available, but these are apparently the same price). The room was spacious, as was the bathroom, and the bed was kingsize and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, recommending restaurants and arranging reservations and taxi pickup for airport the following day. Excellent location and would certainly stay here again.

We booked this hotel for a romantic weekend in Verona and were delighted with this brilliantly located find.

Positioned on a small, safe and quiet street, it is just a stone's throw from one of Verona's main squares and the magnificent Arena. You really won't find a better location. With hard wood floors and big windows, we found the room clean and bright. The staff were also friendly and accommodating.

The only (small) downsides were the noise from the lift (to be fair our room was next to it) and the fact that once we found our room door unlocked after the room had been cleaned. This wasn't a huge problem as our important belongings were in the (free to use) safe, but we raised an eyebrow.

Despite this, we would go back here without a second thought and you can't get a better endorsement than that.

My husband and I find ourselves in Verona regularly for business and it never fails to impress. (I mention it reluctantly as I don't want it to become overcrowded!) This hotel has friendly staff, a great location and parking - a rare thing. Our room was spacious and warm. The shower had fantastic pressure and temperature - better than what I get at home in the UK. The only complaint is a lack of soundproofing between bathrooms. We have stayed at the awesome Gabbio d'Oro before and decided to try somewhere new where we would spend less on accommodation thus leaving more for the bountiful food, drink and shopping opportunities. To us, the city is a destination and our room becomes merely a place to sleep.

Reading other reviews, I was a bit concerned about our room size since I had big luggage! But I have to say that the room size was perfect (maybe because we stayed in the superior room).
I was a bit disapointed with the fact that our room didn't look like the pictures in the internet, it had a horrible red wall to wall carpet. Although the decor of our room was not very nice, we did have the flat screen TV! The shower size was way to small for the proportion of the bathroom size which was large and spacious. Pillows a bit hard, The most positive aspects are that our room was clean, great location, and also car park service which was very handy (although at extra cost) and friendly service. The service was very friendly and recommended good restaurants, we went to "La Grigliatta" (great meat & pasta, also nearby) as the restaurant that I wanted to go back to was closed for holidays. For being off-peak season, I did find the price to be not as good value for money and as we we paying for a superior room I expected better for the price.

  • Liked — location, friendly service, clean room
  • Disliked — I think it was a bit too expensive, a fair price would have been 30 euro less for our room, also being off peak season!! Also the room decor needs to be upgraded for a superior room!
