We have just enjoyed 3 nights at this lovely, well-located hotel - just steps away from the Arena in Verona. At 158 euros per night for quite a compact room (superior room - 101 - with Juliet balcony on the side alleyway), including breakfast and free wi-fi, this was the dearest we paid out of all our Italian hotels in our travels over the last few weeks. Once we adjusted to the small room (with very small shower, enclosed on 3 sides by wall -so quite dark), we enjoyed ourselves, and everything else about the hotel was perfect. The room was very clean, quiet, included a minifridge, and everything worked well. We liked the Juliet balcony, although it too was compact, but it provided fresh air. Quite a few of the hotel items were monogrammed with the G and R initials...a nice touch...like sheets, pillowcases, crockery etc (and even the toilet paper!). Location wise, the hotel is steps away from the Arena, and all the city sights. It's a bit far from the station to walk with luggage, but it is very easy to get a local bus to go the couple of stops to the Arena.. The breakfast is terrific, served in a bright breakfast room. It had the added item of "cook-your-own" boiled eggs which we liked especially. The breakfast also included the delicious apple cake, made by Azra, who attends to breakfast with her colleagues and she also makes the best coffees with clever "patterns" in the milk foam. The reception staff and the breakfast staff deserve special mention as they are so very helpful, friendly and cheerful. The hotel also did a follow up with us after we'd left, and then responded to the comments we made. We'd definitely recommend the hotel...although next time we would book one of the bigger rooms which we understand are on the higher floors.

About the room, you're right: some rooms are smaller than other ones, this is the italian standard for the historic centers (in which we can't enlarge the areas). We take note about your comment and, for sure, for your next stay here, we are going to assign you a larger room :-)
Thank you again for everything: for having chosen our hotel for your stay, for your appreciation while you were here and, now, for your feedback!
