“Hidden Gems of Verona”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2013

Thank you very much Silvia!
Silvia provided a 3 hour walking tour of Verona to me, my wife, and new born baby. She has children of her own and completely understands the needs and desires of babies during tours. She was extremely helpful with our son. Also, the tour was great. Of course we saw some of the popular sites, but she also showed us things you can't/won't see on large group tours. She was even able to get us into a high-end restaraunt cellar filled with ancient ruins. She recommended a few places for lunch, too. We took her advice and it was one of the best meals we have had in Italy. We would hire Silvia again in an instant!

“Seeing Verona and Bologna with Elisa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2013

We were fortunate to see both Verona and Bologna with Elisa. We spent three intriguing hours with her in Verona and enjoyed our day so much we asked her to be our guide when we reached Bologna several days later. Seeing her again felt like seeing a friend. She is warm and engaging. She is extremely knowledgable and is able to share her information so that we were never overwhelmed, but felt that we learned and absorbed important historical information. The cities became alive through her eyes. I would highly recommend Elisa.

“Wonderful walking tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

We met Elisa soon after 10 at our designated meeting point and were soon on our way to explore Verona. Elisa provided us with a detailed overview of all of the important sights of Verona highlighting their historical and artistic importance. We were also provided with an explanation of Verona's culinary secrets. Throughout the tour Elisa checked her schedule with us to ensure that we were happy with her progress. At the end of the touor we were tired but fully aware of Verona's history and ready to try some polenta and cold meats at one of Verona's cafes. Frank V

“The magic of Verona”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

Piazzas Erbe and Bra, the cobblestone steps to the arena, the roar of the crowd, is it for the music of Romeo and Juliet, the ancient sounds of gladiators or the rush of tourists in the wine air and colors of Verona. Every step, church, statue speaks of history but the lifestyle is today; full of friends, locals and strangers meeting and laughing; enjoying life! This is Verona's special gift; its history and testimony to life where 2,000 years of history passes slowly and remains in the imagination long after you have gone. 3 full days of sightseeing, enjoying an opera in season, tasting the wines and feeling the freedom of its culture. Verona, for lovers, for friends, for everyone at any time of year. Nearby and easy access to, Lake Garda, an hour away, Venice. everyone at any time of year. Nearby and easy access to, Lake Garda, an hour away, Venice. Shopping is magnificent, people are warm and friendly and there is plenty to see and do. Walking is best but there are buses and other ways to see the city. You will never run out of restaurants, open late but there is a cover charge which varies, 1.50-3,50€. Prices are competitive so look around. Do NOT miss the tower overlooking the city (for day and evening pictures) at Piazza Erbe. All of the churches have much splendor to offer (get a city card to see 4-6 of them). You can easily get a city map and it is not that large so finding everything will come easily enough but if possible get a VERONA book full of great pictures but also a wonderful map along with references to highlighted things to see. Walk along the river and feel the air and the see the city lights and the bridge at night then stop at a restaurant under the canopy and often with heaters to enjoy an evening meal. Verona; it may bring out the Italian in everyone.

Dear Steven, we are very happy you loved Verona. The city is really beautiful and charming, and infact, this is our hometown! However, you can understand that we always expect to be mentioned in the reviews for the walking tours we've done! thanks Colors of Italy
