We went to Ristorante Mariacallas with high expectations based on Tripadvisor reviews. The setting was very pleasant, in a garden, and the service was capable and friendly enough, but the food - after a promising start - was only average at best. We chose two different fish/seafood menus. My wife's fish soup was excellent, with a delicate flavour. Her seafood salad to follow was OK but rather lacking in taste. My entree must have been forgettable, since I have already forgotten it. Our main courses were both very disappointing. I chose a turbot fillet (one of my favorite fish) while my wife opted for sea bass. We suspect the fish had been frozen since there was little flavour.
Go there if you are looking for somewhere near the tourist action but calm and peaceful. If you are looking for authentic and interesting food you can do better.
