“Delicious local dishes- very reasonable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013 via mobile

Had the rabbit pasta, my husband had the vegetarian pasta- both were delicious. Local wines very reasonably priced. Grilled veggie platter so-so.

“Great resto”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

I went to Osteria Il Ciottolo on a recommendation of the place where I was staying. It certainly didn't disappoint. Great local, seasonal food and efficient service.

“Nice atmosphere with reasonably priced delicious food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

We stumbled across this gem on the last day of our trip, we ran out of time on the way to the train station and needed a good lunch at a non tourist trap. As we happened to walk by this place on the way to the bus stop we glanced on the menu and decided to give it a try!

The service was very quick and to our surprise everyone here was very fluent in English. Despite many local business people having lunch here, the food came fast as we didn't have time for an outdrawn meal.

The home made pasta was delicious! The roast beef with ruccola was tasty, however apparently they ran out of ruccola and served it with lettuce, which really didn't live up to the expected flavor explosion. I am sure if I would have pleaded my case, they would have taken it back for something else, however I ran out of time and they apologized profusely.

Really wish I would have had more time and tried some of the wine, the cured meats selection looked fantastic as well. I guess we'll just come back here some day and try it for dinner.

Outdoor seating is very limited and on a main road. The bathrooms must be the cleanest I have seen in Italy, we were joking that they were cleaner than ours at home.

If you're offended by restaurants offering horse meat, not uncommon for the area, don't go here.

“Looks awesome but the pasta was bad.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

Had one night in Verona and found this place via a recommendation from the staff at hotel novo Rossi. It looked really interesting on the inside however the bread was super stale and the pasta came out in about one minute. It looked and tasted like it was reheated in the microwave oven... They forgot our side of grilled veg but that was fine as we didn't want to eat anything else from there. Unlucky. The staff were very nice though.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

We ordered the ham and cheese platter for starter, lots of food but wold have been nice with some bread as just ham cheese and polenta. Main courses ok but not outstanding, prices reasonable and service good, menu just not that exciting
