“Surprise gem if you are looking for something out of the ordinary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

If you like your hotels a certain way, this may not be the place for you. The restrooms are across the hall and it is hidden in an apartment building so not easiest to find. I traveled here with my 2 daughters - one 17 and one 8 and it was wonderful for them because it help redefine what is a hotel. During our trip to Italy we stayed in a high end hotel in Venice, a rented apartment in Sardinia, a garden B&B in Cinque Terre and this lovely spot. And it was unique and funky and we loved it. And it was so close to the main square where we saw the opera which you must do even if you don't like operas. It is a once in a lifetime experience.

We also had a lovely self-serve breakfast where we could eat outside on a terrace. All in all the smaller urban feel in my mind is why you travel - to be a little surprised!

We booked on line following the ratings that were very good. The accomodation was very convenient for the four of us and the owners very nice. The room is big, with two queen beds, the second a little uncomfortable. The location is very central. Price is correct.

Booked this bed and breakfast via Hotels.com and was disappointed from the moment we arrived. Private bathroom was across the hall from our room and right next to the breakfast room so we would have had people passing by while we were trying to access the bathroom. Bathroom was also very shabby. Air con was shared and you are unable to alter it. We stayed 30 minutes then after trying without success to get Hotels.com to book us in somewhere else,we walked and found 2 lovely proper hotels 2 minutes away for the same price but much more superior rooms. Cannot understand why anyone would stay here when there are lovely hotels nearby. Will not use Hotels.com again either.

Room Tip: Go to another hotel!

This b&b is very very central, our room, the Romeo e Giulietta, was big and clean, with a big TV and a lovely decor plus the breakfast was plentiful. .. HOWEVER: the bathroom although private is outside the room, it is super clean but the bathtub has no plug and the shower no wall hook so you have to hold it and wash with one hand! We couldn't turn the air con off and there was no one to ask and we paid 160 euros for one night for my husband, myself and out two boys (both under10). The owner seemed nice enough at first but while we were having breakfast I heard him basically scolding a fellow guest who had asked for some more bread as it was 9:50 and breakfast is only served until 10!!! We were told that the credit card machine was broken but from other reviews I suspect the owner doesn't particularly like to be paid like that. All in all lovely and clean in a fab location but pricey for a bathroom in the corridor! !!!

20 min flat walk from the station, a little confusing when you arrive as on the first floor of what appears to be private apartments. Close to a grocery store. Room large, spacious, clean (for a family of 4), nicely decorated, modern (apart from the fake flowers!). Bathroom across the hall which was a bit odd (a few mad dashes were made), only a bath (no plug) and a hand held shower - which I feel was not adequate. Late the night water was luke warm & morning 'shower' it was cold ... Not really acceptable. Breakfast selection good - but if you arrive later than everyone else you will need to wait your turn to sit at the table. Recommend that you look around at other comparable accommodation first. Reading other reviews about credit card payments we had no problems paying by card.

Third hotel on a ten day trip by bicycle around Northern Italy . Couldn't find the place to start with despite having a Garmin GPS! You just press the bell on an anonymous door . But owner welcomed us stored our bikes safely showed us to what really was a self contained flat, one large room with a double and two single bath /shower . Breakfast in the morning you are left to get on with it your self but was more than adequate had no probs with a toaster and wasn't expected to pay for drinks from the vending machine

Verona very nice and whilst I agree this B+B is a little more expensive than other citys it is right in the centre of Verona

The B&B is adequat. Clean and the standard is ok. The breakfast is limited. How to operate the toaster is not evident and there was no one present to assist. There was no hot water for tea and they make you pay for the coffee that comes out of a vending machine. Only the vending machine was out of cofee. We had to call the owner to get coffee. The staff is friendly enough and master English to a degree that is passable.
