“Very good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2012

When we came to the hotel we were pleased to find out that we had been given a VERY spacious room, it even had some kind of an attic with wardrobes. We had two rooms besides and two large beds for two of us. There also was a kitchenette. The hotel is very nice, clean. I think that it was nicely located remembering that it is not very expensive. The only drawback was the continuous problem of wifi failing to work and the fact that it works only in a special room on the ground floor. The bus service is good, so it's no problem getting to the centre of the town.
For me personally there was a problem of the absence of nice food shops in the vicinity of the hotel. They are mostly discounters with rotten vegetables. My tip is take a taxi to Esselunga just outside the town and ask someone in the supermarket to call a taxi for you to take you back. We ask locals and they said that we can reach it on foot, we did it in 30-40 minutes time from the hotel.

My husband and 2 kids recently stayed at the Viale Venezia. It was fantastic for a family stay as we had a living area and separate bedrooms for the kids. Have stayed in hotels before and thought we would give this a try, very pleased with the result. Usually in hotels you are all in the same room and trying to get the kids to go to sleep while your in the room can be torture. It was a bit out of the centre but the bus to the centre was just a short walk round the corner and not very expensive. We got the train to Venice from the local train station which was also a short walk away. The apartment where clean and tidy with all the amenities that we needed and the local shops were all very friendly. Fantastic stay!!

The location is a bit away from the Verona Center. It is a 30 minute walk to the river, there 2 ways to do the walk and one of them felt a bit shady. Wouldn't do it by myself at night. There is a buss but we didn't use it. We had a car so we took it and parked at the Citadella car park. Taxi from the city center to the hotel is 7€. The other way is 13€ because you have to preorder it. A big supermarket is located close by, note that it is closed on Sundays and closes early in the evenings as well.

This is a college residence offered to tourists in the summer months. The appartments are big but not as fresh as shown on the photos. The furniture is simple and really reminds of a dorm. We had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, big balcony and a big kitchen/living room. Really noisy toilets when you flush, can wake you up at night. TV has plenty of channels but it's a crime to stay in and watch TV when in Italy. Every room has individual AC so you can controll it according to your preferences. There is free parking in a protected inner yard. The staff was really nice and helpful. The appartment gets cleaned every other day, and the maid even washed the dishes.

There is free WiFi but it works when it wants and you constantly get logged off. Anyway, it works better on an Iphone 4, but if you have a 3GS, prepare for a headache.

Overall, it was a good accomotation for the price we paid and for the type of trip we had. Since we had a car and spent 2 days in Lake Garda and Valpolicella, the location didn't bother us. I only wish they would fix the WiFi. I get really annoyed when I travel and need to plan a daytrip but cannot get connected.

Apartment was very large, nice, clean. There was AC in each room, so that we could enjoy our stay even in very hot summer weather.

The staff is very nice and ready to help you out with language, tips, orientation through city...

+ Large, comfort and clean room,
+ large parking space,
+ you can order food to be delivered to your room,
+ very good value for the price,
+ free internet (WiFi),
- WiFi signal was not very good in the room, but was excellent at reception desk (lobby).

When we return to Verona, we will definitely stay here again!

The residence has the feel of brand new student accommodation. Big rooms with big bathrooms, the kitchenettes is reasonable and the washing machine a fantastic bonus. The wi fi is in the business centre only which was a bind, but free so not so bad. The balcony was big with a maiden for drying clothes but no patio furniture so you can't sit out. It isn't in a great neighbourhood and quite a walk from town, there is a train station nearby, but it isn.'t the main verona station, so it may seem more handy than it really is, the intercity trains don't stop there. Reception had an odd view of security, when th man wasn't there, they insisted we left our key in a little basket on the counter, when we said we didn't fancy that and prefer to leave it behind the counter, we were told off and the key placed in the basket, by a woman who refused to put it away in the slot, very odd!

Dear Lottie70
Many thanks for your review on Tripadvisor. As the Director explained you the first morning you were here, the black box for the keys is used because in the Reception go the girls for cleaning service to take the keys, the tecnicians that make works in the apartment to take the key: to put the key in the right place is the best way to avoid any problems inflicted by people who take the key thinking of doing the work in the apartment.
The reason for what you did’n find any external furniture is that, as you can remember, during your stay in the first days of august, it was raining all the days. We are pleased to inform that from august 10 internet wifi is available, free, in all apartments. We are happy you have appreciated the low price of our accomodation togheter with all services we give. Thank you for choosing our Residence.

We drove here and it couldn't have been easier. On the same road just 300m down is a Pam supermarket FULL of beautiful produce - and is the best place to buy your wines or liqueurs (illy liqueur!) to take home. The apartment was wonderful. We were on the top floor and had a fantastic balcony, the room was huge, had ample storage, a washing machine, a great sized bathroom and fairly equipped kitchen space. We also got a spiral staircase into a room upstairs (which had nothing in it - which was a shame, it would have been amazing if it was the bedroom). Flushing the toilet was the loudest thing on earth - but seemed ok.
The front of house were really helpful, the wireless worked well in the lounge area, there was a huge amount of parking space and it was a very pleasing 15 minute walk into the city walls :)
Would definitely recommend to those who don't mind a small walk or have a car/doing an Italian trip to stay here. It is definitely worth it :)

Booked a 2-bed shared female dorm. Was surprised when I got there to find out that the girl I was sharing the room with actually lived there. It turned out great because she gave me tips on where to go and what to do.

Room was very clean and big with a kitchenette. Bathroom was clean too. The bed was very comfy and I slept really well here compared to other hostels I've stayed at. The area may seem a bit dodgy but I felt pretty safe walking around at night.

Only downside was the location--but there's a bus stop about 5 minutes away on foot. And if you're up for it, you can also walk to the city center--takes about 30 or so minutes.
